it's different from when I was a kid...you got chocolate and that was it (also, you had to walk to school barefoot, uphill both ways). Now it's a big to do and unfortunately I've fed into it.
We swore we never would with our kids, but BIL's daughters got nearly as much for Easter as they got for Christmas, so we always ended up getting them each one big thing, and lots of candy.

This is the first year that I'm not doing baskets.....

Ah, but give it a few years...granbaby baskets!!

And if I recall from when my wee sister was your kids age, she was HOSTILE about not getting a basket...so watch out...

Yes.
There was always lots of snow for us to trudge through without shoes.
That's probably why we all hate winter so much.

Really, I don't know how we survived.

I'm tired.. Anastasia was up for an hour or so two seperate times last night. Just up. happy as can be, wanting to play. She did get cranky when she realized that I was in no mood to play.

How's everyone here?

Yes, I think that would do it.

Naturally!

I know, it drives me nuts. And I'm expected to have a liitle something for my nieces and any random child who may be sharing dinner with us...hardly the point of Easter, whose Gift is far greater than any material object.

(yea, I can be deep!)
*wipes away a tear*
That was beautiful, Amy.

DS isn't even coming home for Easter and DD will be just as happy with a bag of Mini-Eggs (and her new car of course)

Can I just say, I want to punch the writers of How I Met Your Mother!!! It's so good and they keep leaving us with cliffhangers...it just angers me so!!! They give you a carrot and then take it away...

If I didn't love that stupid show so much...
