Cool, so you saw Wishes last night?!?! OMG, this makes me sooooo incredibly happy. You have no idea how much I love Wishes. A trip to WDW just isn't complete without Wishes. :sohappy: Thank you! Maggie

I didn't see it last night but unless Disney has decided to give their CMs completely incorrect info Hallowishes is for MNSSHP nights only. Our guides, which are basically expanded Times Guides, show Hallowishes on the party nights and regular old Wishes on the non-party nights. I don't think they'd make that distinction unless it were actually true.

Unfortunately, last year, they didn't bother to change out the info on the website or printed materials and they still showed HalloWishes instead of Wishes.

I heard on another board from someone that was actually there last night that it was indeed my much loved Wishes that they set off last night! Maggie

Plain old Wishes on non party nights, which kinda bummed me out as I'm not going to spend the money to go to MNSSHP but would still like to see Hallowishes in the park.

You can always watch it from Poly's beach on party nights. They usually pipe in the music(they don't play it too loud) Everyone should see it once that way. The perimeter fireworks look really cool when you can see them from outside the park.

Last Year I was there the last 2 weeks of Oct. They had a sign posted outside the MK entrance saying "the next presentation of Wishes will be on Wed Oct 17 " We along with others were upset to find that the real wishes was not being done again til Nov 1 ..I along with many others were misled to believe that they were making it a extra effort to go to the MK on those nights only to see the trimmed down Halowishes show. I asked why does'nt the sign state the correct date of Nov 1 as the next show of Wishes to stop misleading people ?.. I hope they don't do that to guests again !!!

I believe what this person is saying is that last year, when Hallowishes was shown instead of Wishes, the perimeter fireworks were not used on the non-party nights. In that case, the show was indeed trimmed down from its original version, but only for the non-party nights.

Last year I never saw it posted anywhere that they were gong to do the HalloWishes the week leading up to Halloween. I even called the Disney Operator and everything that they had said it was Wishes. I think it is a call that the management just does and it is a surprise until you show up to the park and they make the announcement that tonight they will be showing HalloWishes.

Ermm... HalloWishes is a completely different show to Wishes. Longer. More pyro. More launch locations. Different lighting and music. The only similarity to Wishes is it has fireworks above the Magic Kingdom.

Of course they won`t show it on regular nights as a rule; it costs more to produce so part of your MNSSHP ticket goes towards the show.

Believe me, it is WELL worth it. My jaw was literally on the floor by the end. And I`ve seen a few good Disney displays over the years too.

I would not be surprised if HalloWishes shell count pushes 1000. The finale alone uses at least 150 shells. Roughly 80 from the perimeter sites, about another 30-50 during the Grim Grinning Ghosts acceleration and the final main blast of roughly 50 shells.

Personally, that is one surprise that would be extremely unwelcomed in my book. That is exactly why am hoping that they just show Wishes on the non-party night, as they have advertised. Besides, HalloWishes is a specific party oriented program that should end after the holiday passes, just as Holiday Wishes should not be shown after Christmas.....at least that's my opinion.

I was really ticked off that they chose to do a MNSSHP after the holiday this year. Mostly because the whole reason that I have been so bent on going to WDW for my birthday this year, was because I "assumed" that I would get to see Wishes on my birthday. But, I have to settle on seeing them on our last park day, which is the day after my 40th.

It's ok really, seeing Expose kinda makes up for that and not getting to be among the first to ride SSE which was supposed to have opened on my birthday, but got delayed. I must admit though, I am a huge Patrick Stewart fan and I can't wait until December 2008 to hear the new narration. Maggie

The actual fireworks for Hallowishes are quite impressive, and on the same level, if not above, Wishes.

However, the music for Hallowishes drives me INSANE. I can't stand it! It always sounds so 1980's. Maybe it's because I have such an attachment to the Wishes score (but I love Holiday Wishes, too), that I don't like it. I don't know. It irritates me. Anyone else dislike the music for Hallowishes?

I don't like it either. It sounds like a mish mash of music (and not even good music) and really doesn't tell a story like Wishes, Holiday Wishes, and Illuminations do. The fireworks themselves are awesome though.

Put me down for loving the pyro but hating the music. Its just too campy for me.

Martin. I really enjoyed seeing your reaction after the first hallowishes show. It was priceless. It was a combo of, I cant believe I just saw that and finding out your gonna be a dad, all rolled up into one.

 Just one of many `I don`t believe it` faces of mine you saw! My jaw is still sore from when it hit the tarmac in the hub :D

BTW, everyone, I`m not going to be a dad. EpcorRob used a figure of speech. Just before the rumours start flying
