Window effects in London/DAlley

Don't read if you don't like spoilers or pre-announced stuff...

So looks like Uni followed Disney's classic 'the queen looking out of the window' gag and put a figure peaking out of the curtains in DA. See

I appreciate the effort... but man, can that thing look anymore UNNATURAL in it's movement? It's worse than the Jungle Cruise figures.

Oh, my. That is awful. Maybe just some testing? It needs some major work,

Expecting the rest of the experience to be much better.

It's a small effect most won't even catch.

It's fine.

The little things matter... they are going to the n-th degree with all the staging and set pieces.. and then totally let down with the level of effort here. Seriously looks like a student project with some motors and switches.

Well I couldn't resist and had to look! Two things occurred to me. First, very possibly it's only being tested at this point and final movement might be somewhat improved. When the hand first appears and then the figure leans forward, it's fine. What I found to be off was that the figure then leans back out of view but the hand remains in place on the curtain. Second, it won't be viewed (except through camera lenses) at that angle or close-up viewpoint. From the street level it should appear better than it does in the video. I think it's a great little detail.

It's an easy fix, just change the speed with which he moves. The Queen is hardly an A100 figure herself.

My guess is that he is just in testing mode.

I don't the possibility it's not done yet (tho the clock is ticking..) - but if that's what they go with.. ouch.

Flynnibus was 100% correct with his original criticisms of the Kreacher movements.

But good news everyone! They have finessed the motion and timing, and it's a night and day difference!

Coincidentally this new footage was taken at night too. It's a little shaky and out of focus, but you can clearly see the motion has been reprogrammed, and Kreacher's peek out the widow takes approximately 10 seconds. Very effective!

Looking at some other pix, I think they may have changed the curtains also.
