Ya know I heard that they delete that scene from the edited TV stations, because it must be too freaky for kids. But that is one of my favorite scenes!

They have a store on Main Street USA in the MK that sells a whole bunch of Wonka candy and actually inside the store, it looks like part of the chocolate factory. I bought a Wonka bar from there! I think it's the Main Street Confectionary. I spelled that wroooongg! :)

Back to the original question, I never really thought it looked like WDW. Sorry about that. In the next few days, I can take a second look on my VHS tape and see.

i know it scared the hell outta me when i was a kid!! i always hated that part and the part at the end where Wonka yells at Charlie. but other than that i loved it, and still do!
in our kitchen we have wallpaper with fruit on it (it reminded me a lot of the flavored wallpaper on Willy Wonka) when i was a kid, i used to always wanna lick it to see if it was flavored too, like on the movie, but i was always afraid mom would get onto me

Slugworth always scared me, and so did the pot and pan peddler. I also thought the candy store guy was a little suspect. Doesn't the everlasting gobbstopper look like it would tear up the roof of your mouth ?

I love all his books, he was my favorite childhood author. My mom and I loved to read them together. :)

I've had an everlasting gobstopper and let me tell you, there's one secret of the candy that didn't make it out of the factory... however, now you can have as many as you want, about 15 per box, so you can give one to Mr. Slugworth and still have some to spare. Just don't tell the secret.

Oh yeah, they took care of the shape problem too, but that's not the secret.

I was SO gonna post something about this today! I watched it too, and I kept thinking....man, that place would be SO COOL if it were in disney world. The area with the chocolate river and the trees with candy on them would be perfect! It would definatly be my fantasy land. ;)
