Will you be booking "BE OUR GUEST" when the ADR's open in August?

No. It's a Character Dining Experience, not a Signature Dining Experience. But we WILL be sure to walk by and look at it :).

Unless something has changed recently, they've been saying BoG won't be a character meal. I'm guessing there will be some form of entertainment or novelty involved, but no clue exactly what. I know some people have suggested animatronics, but that's purely speculation as far as I know. Still, it's not going to be signature and I know that's what you guys usually go for at WDW. At least you can check it out during the lunch hours :)

To OP...we will definitely be trying to get an ADR. Nov 18th and Nov 17th are my ideal days, but I will rework an already well planned day if it means getting into BoG for dinner...assuming it's open for any part of our trip :D

I wouldn't mind, but my wife is saying that the menu does not look appealing to her, so probably not!

Hell to the yeah I'll be booking it! LOL :D I arrive Saturday 11/24 and we are doing MK on Monday or Tuesday. I so have this in my little eyeball sights for when booking it becomes available...bring it on! :p

The fact that Be Our Guest is a counter service restaurant for lunch kind of cheapens the dinner aspect for me.
I don't know, it just takes away from the allure of a sit down restaurant.
At least that's how I felt about the new Mexico restaurant in Epcot which does the same thing.
I'm a huge WDW table service diner, but I'll probably just walk in for the casual lunch at BOG to experience the atmosphere.

I wish I could do that. I'm basically keeping a dinner open for my trip in September, just in case they decide to soft-open it while I'm there...hey, I can dream, can't I? :D

i'm going to wait for the reviews first and then decide. I am confused about integrating counter service lunch with dinner full service. but we shall see :)

I'm confused about WHY they did it that way, honestly. It's an interesting route for them to take, not having BOG as a TS for lunch, especially given the slightly limited TS dining options at MK. But I still can't wait to see it :)

I will probably book for dinner when we go in December. I would prefer to go for lunch as we really don't have a time in our schedule for another night in MK.
BUT, i am concerned that EVERYONE wants to try it out. I see lines forming for lunch at park opening! would love to think that i can just walk up for lunch and get in, but the practical part of me thinks that isn't happening.
i have no trouble with the change from CS to TS. when we went to la hacienda, we couldn't tell any difference from any other TS in WDW. just seemed like a TS restaurant, and a nice one at that.

We will be trying it in December (hopefully we can get a reservation). We do a Ts every night for dinner and are so tired of the few TS dinners at Mk. We hope we like BoG because adding another restaurant to the dinner rotation is always nice!

Probably not. We will be there in November, and I like what I've seen of the menu, but I think we will most likely wait until next year when the mad dash to get reservations isn't quite so feverish.

We are hoping to score an ADR for December. We are already trying to decided what we would exchange for it.... Worse case scenario we can do the QS option for lunch......

Yep. I'll have to try it. I think Mom and I are doing a trip in the spring - and "Be Our Guest" is her all time favorite Disney song...so naturally it will be an awesome surprise for her when I tell her "It's not open yet" or "I couldn't get a reservation" and then BAM. I love Disney surprises.

We'll be there in mid-October, so it's unlikely it will be open. However, if it is, and regardless of the reviews, we'll try replacing our Liberty Tree dinner ADR with Be Our Guest. If we can't get an ADR, then we'd at least attempt it for lunch. Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite Disney movie, so seeing the inside of the restaurant is high on my wish list.
