Will the yeti on Expedition Everest be in A mode June 21-29?

That is depressing. Anyone witht he inside scoop on when it will not be broken?

Right now, it is indefinitely broken. Once management decides they can sacrifice the attraction for a bit to repair the AA, it will close. Your guess is as good as anyones as to when that will happen.

It's going on over a year for me now, and the yeti has yet to be in A- mode since the first time I rode it about 3 months after EE opened.

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that it's going to stay in B-mode for a good while. The rumors that I've heard from my few CM friends say that it's a major repair that will take more than a 3d shift to do. So like others have said, you're looking at a ride closure. Sorry to say, the 10-20th of June isn't looking too good.

I have been told that the AA itself works just fine. The problem lies in the support structure, which is damaged. It would not be safe to continue to risk further damage to the base.

The Yeti is a major fix. EE is too popular to be shut down or as long as it will take to fix it. So, don't expect the Yeti to be fixed while EE still has long lines.

This is years out.

I still find it enjoyable. Admittedly, it isn't as good as it is with the Yeti, but the attraction still stands strong to me.

They might as well just close it for a few months and fix it. With Space closed and all, WDW is not attractive to me at all, but this is all from a personal/selfish view as I wont be there until Space mt. reopens.

But on a realistic note, they do need to get the thing fixed. E:E is not even that old, and its pretty bad for the yeti to be down already so soon.

I never said they shouldn't. s far as I'm concerned, it should be closed now. However, I still enjoy the attraction as is.

If this goes on any longer... I could see other Orlando parks using this to their advantage in marketing and advertising.

'Why go on monster coaster where the monster doesn't even work, when you could: Swing with Spidey, Evade mummies, zoom around with the Simpsons, Fly on a broomstick with Potter, etc....'

They might leave the mummies part out of that add. From what I hear that thing has not had the best effects operational record either.
