Maybe so... but being Disney, hopefully this will give them the incentive to reach further out and bring us all something new and exciting.
I know we are talking about the same people that brought us such hits as Rapunzels magnificent bathrooms and the wonderful new Next-Gen hoopla, but maybe, just maybe.....

I like the movies (except EO.) when I first saw T2, I was astounded, excited and memorized. Now, it's not quite the thrill it was. Still the coolest of the 3-D movies, IMO...but ITTBAB is the cutest.
If the technology leaps forward and something as impressive as T2 was when it first came out can be shown, I'd vote for another 3-D movie. As it is, what we have is enough. IMO.

Possibly, as they said that when they build Avatarland, it'll include a 3D ride or two.

I'm not talking about 3D rides. I'm talking about the stationary "movie theater" attractions like Muppets and Captain EO where you basically experience the same thing you could experience at a local movie theater.

I would guess yes because I'd imagine it's cheaper than building a ride with animatronics and or 3D scenes. That and theaters are already built so no demo or major construction.

True enough. Nobody rides a motorcycle in the Philharmagic theater.
I was just thinking about the first time I saw those silver thingies - the one that juts out and the spidery-looking thing.

Maybe with Disney, but there is still a big enough market for the medium in other places.

I hope they don't end them, they work out well for families and people who don't like or can't go on some of the rides. Muppets and Philharmagic are wonderful and to get ride of them would be distinctly unpatriotic!

The 3D you can see in any movie theater doesn't include the extra effects that attractions like the ones you listed do include.

More possibly, but I would guess more to the 4D side of things like Bugs Life where there is more than just the screen. I personally could do with one less though...Creepy EO can go anytime now!

I really like the idea of the 3D theaters but I have a hard time focusing on the movie because I wear glasses. Does anyone else have this problem?

Depending on where I'm sitting sometimes Philharmagic can be blurry to me. I don't have a problem in the other 3D movies.
Humans are easily amused. Dump a bunch of bubbles out of the ceiling and they'll come back over and over.
