Back to topic: add the characters, it will make the ride even more fun. The girls have Depp and Bloom to look at, the guys have Keira and the Redhead.

Plus, there are several attractions (JC, SSE, and HM all come to mind) that could use some new effects (not movie related) for that budget. Plus, POTC just went down. If they were just to add one Will Turner and one Elizabeth Swan, it really wouldn't take that long. Maybe a month at the most, especially if they Imagineers get prepared early and if they already prepared for this during the last renovation, so they can just stick them in and get the ride going again. :)

This is true from what I hear.... They are going to close the ride down like they did to add Jack S. for a month or so. This wont happen till the third movie is ready to come out in theaters....

Why not make the dang movie to follow the ride. not chang the ride to follow the movie.

If they add Will and or Liz I'll never ride PotC again. I am already ticked tha they put Jack and DJ.

Why? I think the additions are very tasteful and help enhance the ride, especially the battle scene.

It was well done, but there is definitely a charm in the first one that has since been lost. The focus of the ride has changed in that there actually IS a focus now. That can be good or bad depending on what you enjoyed about the oringial. However, I do think Will & Elizabeth would be unnecessary at this point. The Sparrow AAs got the complaints about the film tie in to stop, so they would simply be wasted money at this point in time.

make two seperate rides based on the same concept? Yeah, THAT'S Practical. :lol:

The only thing I can complain about with the add-ons is that everyone's looking for Jack now. It's all "It be Captain Jack Sparrow we're looking for" and "Where be Captain Jack Sparrow?" I think the add-ons could've done just fine without making Jack seem like the center of the pirate world. But if that's the only thing I can complain about, then they've done SOMETHING right.

:sohappy: woo hoo!!! One less person to wait in line with.

If this does occur, it won't occur till after the third movie. We still don't know if Will and Elizabeth will end up together romantically.

i really hope that they dont add will or elizabeth to the ride.as memorable as ther are i think it will be like movie overkill for the ride if they are added.
as for adding eddie murphy's character to the HM i say hell no please dont,if you are going to add anything from the movie to the HM please just make it a remodel of some of the scenes,i for one would like to see the scaence (sp?) room with madame leota from the movie put into the ride the scene as it is is a little empty and boring.

From my readings around the internet:

Will and Liz will be placed in DLR for next springs premier of POTC3.

MK execs visited POTC at DL and were awed by the overhaul they did - every speaker, light and effect was replaced or upgraded. Seems MK just replaced the speakers that had changed dialog. You can really tell the difference between the dunking pirate at the well looking for Jack Sparrow and the bride auctioneer in the next scene. So expect this upgrade for MK's ride.

That *would* be a good time to add Will and Liz to MK's ride, but I have not seen any confirmation of this upgrade.

Where to put them? Probably in the burning town, fending off pirates. This paces the new AAs through the ride, without compromising the original story. Yes, the original story was about pirates seeking and eventually finding the town's treasury. Now, it is the same story, with the addition of a race against Capt. Jack.

Are the new animatronics distracting? Sure - you want to stare at them because they are new. What to do about it? Ride it again without looking at them. Look at something else. Like the mansion, it was intended to be enjoyed time and time again offering a different view or dialogue with each ride.
