I still hope they re-build it or build something better. I can't imagine anything being better than Spectro, but if it could be done, I'd love to see it!!

I agree I loved spectro magic, but I do not understand the obsessive nature of some who act like this parade was the single best thing in WDW history.

I agree. Some people live to complain. Negativity is some people's comfort zone. Poor me, I'll never be happy I can't have what I want so let's wallow in my own self pity and rehash the same thing over and over and over and over again with no different outcome.

The type of person who seems to always side with things they cant have. The kid who hates on whats popular and likes what everyone else doesnt because its "cool" to do so. The second people like what they do they hate on that and move on to something else. Some of those who miss Spectro so much would be saying "I miss MSEP and Spectro is boring" if it were theother way around. Just because thats the type of person they are.

I'm not saying that applies to everyone who misses Spectro and has voiced as such. I'm not saying that applies to everyone who has posted on this thread. It does seem to be a common theme with some on here however. Its quite comical and pretty entertaining at times.

There is a couple of reasons other then whining that people like specific things. Sometimes it's because it's the first one the saw and it left such an impression the no other can ever replace it. I know I feel the same way, to an extent about the music on CoP. I know that Beautiful Tomorrow was the original song associated with it and it is a great song. It helped me get through a tough time, however, when I first went to WDW the message was Now is the Best Time of Your Life, and it by-god was for me. I miss that song terribly. It brings back memories of my two young girls and I singing it all the way back to Vermont. It brings back memories of some friends that my enthusiasm had convinced to visit WDW even though one of them felt strongly that it was just a place for kids. When they returned every time we met would start out with a chorus of "Now is the time, "Now is the best time of your life". Does that mean that I think GBBT is the worse thing ever? No it means that I miss an old friend. I personally never cared much for Spectro. Why? Because the first one I saw was MSEP.

Just because someone liked something better doesn't mean that they are complaining, they are just sad that it no longer will be able to be experienced.

That's why I said "some". I even closed with....."I'm not saying that applies to everyone who misses Spectro and has voiced as such. I'm not saying that applies to everyone who has posted on this thread."

I wasn't making a blanket statement. I wasn't even referring to the majority or painting with a broad brush. I feel the same way you do as posted above

The true reason could indeed be that the floats were simply not taken care of.. but I have to say for Disney that is a little hard to believe that they would destroy floats especially that of a very popular parade! Cant help but wonder if there is more to the story. Maybe Festival of Fantasy had something to do with it or future plans for a new nighttime parade, or a upgrade of MSEP.

When doing the keys to the kingdom tour they had many of the old Spectromagic floats still in the warehouse behind PoC and Splash
We saw some when I was there last week. Someone asked if that was a good sign and our tour guide said they keep some floats to re-use for parts, etc. Don't know if that's true or if he was trying to throw them off

HKDLs new light parade will be called Animazement!

Apparently they retired Glow In The Park Halloween Parade... I find that interesting and sad. Those floats were awesome! Cant help but wonder if WDW or DL did, or will, purchase the floats?

Well. MSEP was never suppose to come back and it did. So if it happened for it, I don't see why it can't happen for spectro.
