Will I Really Wear Makeup?

I am getting closer and closer to our 9/17 trip and I keep wondering....will I REALLY wear makeup while I'm there? I mean I really don't leave the house without it on anymore which is funny considering for like almost all of my 30s I didn't wear a bit of it, (I am 39 - will turn 40 on they day we leave for WDW :)). However I really hate the stuff. I only use it because I prefer the way I look with it on vs. without. So I am torn - do I bother applying at all or just leave it at home and forget it?
Two things...
1. Yes, I know in the grand scheme of things this is stupid to waste my time pondering and I'm sorry for wasting your time too lol.
2. I am an all or nothing type so I will either apply all of it or none of it. So suggestions to go light won't help since I don't wear too much anyway, but enough to "feel" it on (which is the part I hate).
What are your experiences with makeup and what do you suggest for me?

I'm 46 and when I am at home, I do not always wear makeup(stay at home mom, no real reason to LOL) but when I go to DLR, I do a simple compact mineral base, blush(if needed), mascara and gloss. Definitely sunscreen but not anything like what I would do if I were at home and going out to with friends or my family.

I tend to use natural makeup the first few days, but after getting sunburnt I just go with the natural glow and a bit of waterproof mascara and sun lip balm and done!

I don't wear any make up at WDW during the day because of the heat (we usually go in warmer months), I just put on sunscreen. But I do bring a small bag of basic items, because I wear a light make up in the evening, when we go back to the parks for dinner after a break at the hotel room. I'll be turning 34 during our Sept trip and I usually wear very light make up to work (same problem, no one notices when I skip it!). Hope this helps!

Yes dry shampoo or a light hairspray (love Chi's or Avedas) are my best friends. My hair/scalp gets way to dry if I wash daily and just the hassle is not worth it either. I have longer hair that has gotten finer as I have gotten older (used to be very thick) but there is still a ton of it eventhough it's fine. Takes my hairdresser forever to color/highlight due to all the hair. lol. I do trim to get dead ends off but that's it because I do not look good with shorter hair and that makes it frizz bigger the shorter it is (mushroom top affect!). :)
EXACTLY - ALL OF THIS!! :)

Which dry shampoo do you use? I've been thinking of trying it out.
The past two cans that I have used have been that Not Your Mama's brand and I think I like that best so far, plus that brand is only like 5 bucks @ Target. I have tried Aveeno, that Catwalk brand and something else that I can't remember. My next try is going to be the cherry version of Psssst, because I am a sucker for cherry anything :). I have to spray it at night before I go to bed though. I let it "soak in" overnight. If I apply it in the morning it makes me look like Sweeney Todd because my hair is so dark and I can't brush it all out.

I never wear makeup at WDW. If it gets too hot, it just runs into my beard and.........wait. I'm a guy. I don't wear makeup anyways. :p If I could make an observation, listen to your sisters here - I have seen the results of makeup vs. Florida weather, and it is not pretty

I'll go away now.
LOL!!!

You guys!!!! So this happened last night...
I come home from work, wash my face, change clothes, blah blah whatever blah, my son goes outside to play with neighbor kids. At one point I go out to check on him and neighbor boy says to me "what happened to your eye?!". I reply with "WHAT?!? Oh my gosh what's wrong with it? What are you talking about???". He's all "there's something black under it.". I of course immediately start wiping vigorously at my under eye area. I then ask if it's gone to which he replies "no it's...." and then points to the other eye. I start vigorously wiping other eye. "IS IT GONE????" I ask. He said it wasn't so I ask him "which eye is it?". At that point he says "wellll, it's both eyes...you have blackness under both eyes...". I cannot even. I then give him evil, squinty eyes when I realize he is talking about my dark circles that I have had ever since I was like 5. He has never seen me without makeup so apparently he thought there was something wrong with me and my eyes. I have no words...lol. I can't believe I forgot how prevalent the circles were. The rest of my face is fine but those circle will be the death of me :( I had seriously just convinced myself to go sans makeup at the parks too....UGH! Please also don't judge my punctuation errors throughout this post haha, I'm sure they're plentiful :)

I also go light on the make-up, at home & at WDW, but I agree that sunscreen is pretty important, especially in the parks. I can't wear regular sunscreen on my face, even the ones specifically for the face, but a face primer/BB cream/sunscreen product works well for me. It's quick to apply in the morning, easy to re-apply before going back out after our mid-day break, and serves multiple purposes for me. I like the Bare Minerals product, but there were also a couple of similar product options mentioned in earlier posts.

Have a wonderful trip - & Happy Birthday!
