This looks really cool and I was wondering does Disney Quest still get new games. I would love to see a Star Wars area at DQ. Star wars seems like a great fit for this the DQ model And it could really help it succeed.

I like that idea. I played one of these but it was a fighter jet version. You also more follow a path rather than free fly, but it's really cool in there! I hope our dave and busters gets one.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
How sad that the DQ excitement has to stem from a new ARCADE machine and not replacing some of those pathetic attractions.

Disney quest is a joke....because it formally comes off as a large arcade....with a steep entry cost..i have no problem with the general idea (large entertainment complex with a hard ticket that teens like) but it needs to be more Disney...less arcade...more of an event....showmanship....not a place...you want people to say i was here....not i went to here...

I saw the jet fighter version of this at Pixel Play Arcade at DAAR last night. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if these pods make it to DisneyQuest at some point. How long, well, that's the question.

I love the idea of Disney quest but it really needs updating. Its a bit sad. I really thought they should have brought a lot of Star wars stuff in. Replace the ride the comic ride with a Star Wars Light saber on a desert skiff type thing. Replace the Alien invasion thing with a Star Wars thing. I swear my brother and I used to play han solo and Luke skywalker on the millennium falcon scene from a new hope. And then bring in some Speeder bike VR thing in the vein of that Aladdin magic carpet ride. I still go to it once a year because my boy loves it, but its more of a nostaligic fix when I go and Im always a bit sad to see the lost potential. STILL love the pirates boat thing, Virtal Space mountain and the Jungle Cruise.

They really ought to have built off the Wreck-It Ralph hype and that whole "Ralph as the new unofficial mascot" and added some exclusive Hero's Duty and Sugar Rush machines. Maybe redo the Cyberlator animation with the WIR cast too since they've apparently stopped using the Genie film.

Disney completely missed the boat in exploiting WTR. Hopefully 2 happens and they are more on the ball - there was so little out there for games, and I still don't believe there are straight recreations of any of the unique games in the film available. It's so rife for some epic games with a nostalgic twist, which is all the rage right now. Disney just missed the boat on that.

The thing is if there's one thing that Iger gives less of a crap about then the parks, it's video games. That's why other then Infinity, Disney has basically abandoned consoles and shifted into mobile shovelware.

I was bummed with Infinity 2.0 so far - it's a rush job if ever there was one, the pre-fab content is a tiny fraction of what you got with 1.0, which in spite of Toy Box improvements, makes it feel pretty spendy for what you get. But you even see that rush job when it comes to the things that are improved, like the addition of INteriors and great objects for them - which you then find out are utterly functionless in most cases. You can build a huge manse of all kinds of cool objects which do nothing. Most don't even have an animation. You can even get those arcade games from Ralph to place - but they couldn't even bother to actually give you a level or two to play, or allow you to tie them into a game you create. It's a whole lot of pretty with empty underneath.

DI even with 2.0 still feels like beta. It also can't be taken seriously by a larger creative community (though Disney pretends it does - they have their own equivalent of Disney Mom's over there) because of the inherent content sharing issues (you can only share a ToyBox you create with someone you are "friends" with, or be one of the handful a week Disney picks to showcase). It's a shame, because there are some great new content tools in 2.0 but folks aren't going to spend endless hours building a masterpiece that can't be shared widely.

They also keep adding Disney Park ride elements which are undeniably cool but the problem is they still won't let vehicles on tracks, and while all kinds of good objects appear you just can't seamlessly put it together. Your only option is to skate along a track as your character. It's so frustrating that things like Mr. Toad's car, the Peter Pan flight ship, even the Parking Lot Tram are there but they are tied to physical Power Discs so they can't be in sharable boxes. Someone built a pretty nice recreation of Peter Pan Flight but they have to put a Toy Story helicopter in there because it's not tied to a Power Disc.

Er, sorry for the tangent/rant - DI has been POing me lately because, like WDW - it has such potential, and even a lot of existing awesomeness, it's just Disney keeps getting in the way of itself and not doing the things it really needs to make it a creative and financial success vs. just settling for the easiest way to make a buck.

I'm surprised anyone is making arcade machines anymore at all.
Seems like all the arcade games I see at the little Disney resort arcades are basically giant versions of smartphone games like Cut the Rope.
The latest non-mobile game I saw at Disneyquest when I was there in April was Afterburner Climax, and it's nearly a decade old now.

Will there be a halloween party at Disney Quest on the 31st?

I don't think so.
If they were doing that again they would have announced it already.
Judging by what I've seen, last year's party could hardly be called a success, so Disney is probably disinclined to do it again.
