Will a 9 year old like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

It has been a loooooong time since I was 9 and I don't have any kids, but my husband and I are taking our niece to Disney World later this year and are thinking about making a reservation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique followed by breakfast at CRT. I haven't actually been around her since she was 5, so I'm honestly not sure if it's something she'd like. Are 9 year olds into this kind of thing? Or have most 9 year old girls outgrown the princess dress up?

I agree with asking the parents! I would suggest keeping the reservation for CRT because it's just plain special to eat in the castle, at any age!
If you're still unsure about her transforming into a princess, while it's pricey, you could do the $60 crown package (hair, make up, nails) and buy a cheaper costume dress elsewhere than Disney. If she does want to wear the dress then she still has the whole package! If she doesn't, then she just got her hair, make up, and nails done (fun for any 9 year old!) while saving you money from buying the $200 package that includes the dress.

I sent my Goddaughter when she was 8. I didn't choose the full dress option. I decided to do
the Courtyard Package:
  • Hairstyling
  • Shimmering make-up, face gem
  • Princess sash and tote
  • Nail polish
  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique T-shirt
  • Trendy tutu
She loved it!!!

I would've loooved this when I was 9, but I agree every child is different. It wouldn't hurt to make the reservation, since they book up. Then ask the parents, maybe even ask the child and show her some photos online. You can always cancel if it turns out to be something she doesn't want to do. I also agree with @disneygirl76 about considering the Courtyard package. :)

It doesn't hurt to ask the parents but what young girl doesn't want to be made up into a princess? I'm doing the same thing with my 5 year old. Boutique then Cinderella with using my fastpass on the princess that day since it's her day.
