My family will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for the first time & I was wondering if anyone had any experiences to share. Specifically, What would be your opinions of the BEST Woods view room. I appreciate any input at all.

Have stayed there 10 times and more than likely will be going back!

Good woods view is anything ending in 020 - 032. We like the 6th floor the best. At one point we could watch the fireworks and the Castle change colors at night. The trees have grown and we haven't stayed on that side in awhile (we usually do courtyard overlooking the quiet pool by the Villas) so I'm not sure just how much you can see. I understand the hurricanes in the last few years topped some trees so you never know.

Room _032 is just around the alcove from an elevator. This one brings you down to the bottom of the ramp by the Roarin' Forks and just outside the laundry room. Its pretty quiet for being close to an elevator.
One of the best ways to end the day is with something to drink (alcoholic or not) while resting in a big rocker by the fireplace in the lobby. Don't forget to stop by the front desk and get the papers for the Hidden Mickeys located around the lobby.

Have to agree that this is a good Woods Location. I have been there before too and had a nice view.

We were there in March 06 and stayed in a room overlooking the main pool and we just loved it! It was alot quieter than you would think, the views were amazing (we could see the geyser, lake, boats...) and if we were in our room in the evening, we sat on our balcony and watched the wishes fireworks over the rooftop and then watched the lake parade later! I just fell in love with the place and we will be staying there again as soon as we can!

I think we were on floor 6 in a room on the right side as you enter the hotel. Can't remember the room number though but it was amazing!

I have had courtyard views, wood views and standard views. I do prefer the courtyard view cause its nice to people watch. But the Wood view is so quiet and relaxing.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will definitely be looking for the Hidden Mickey's. It is one of my favorite things to do there. Now, If anyone ever needs to know the best place to stay @ Coronado Springs, I would be more than happy to reciprocate.

In February we stayed in 5158 overlooking the quiet pool, villa side. It was very quiet and relaxing. We took the lodge tour one morning. A very nice older gentleman named Stan gave the tour and pointed out alot of things I never would have noticed on my own. Enjoy your trip!

We like the woods view rooms that face the MK & overlook the quiet pond. We haven't had a room over there the past three times we have stayed at WL, so I can't give a current report on the Wishes view.

On our last stay, we were the flag family one morning. Stan took us up to the roof to raise the five flags. What an awesome experience and view. While you are checking in, just ask if there is a morning available.

Woods view overlooking the bog and facing the MK is anything ending with _020 to _032. The higher up the better the view, of course. The balcony is closed in, but there are chairs out there that little people can climb on.

We stayed there in '05, and loved it. We stayed just down the hall from the elevator next to Roaring Forks. We were up high enough to look over the trees to see the Magic Kingdom. We could see the fireworks whenever we were in the room for them. To be a flag family, ask when you check in if it is available. It is well worth it to see everything from up there.
