Wilderness Explorers @ DAK

If they want to do a Naboo, do it DHS, not DAK. I'm all for more Star Wars in the parks, just not shoehorned into DAK.

I just got back from a trip to California and have been away from the computer for a while, but where did this "rumor" about Naboo coming to DAK originate? I tried finding info on this online in a Google search but turned up nothing.

Why are people saying that Star Wars is coming to DAK when I thought it was Avatar that was going there?

Star Wars should be a huge addition to DHS...an even grander addition that Carsland was to DCA in my opinion. Much of DHS could be ripped out and replaced with a giant Star Wars land.

I like the idea of the scavenger hunt and it sounds like fun, I have never done any of these experiences. They must be popular if they keep putting them in each if the parks DHS will be the only park without this kind of attraction. With that said when you do this, do you focus on just it are do you still enjoy rides and other attractions as you go? I'm just wondering how I would work it into our trip.

Some website, supposedly, that usually gets things wrong said that Dagobah/Naboo is going to DAK since Avatar may fall through and it was repeated here. Its not substantial, pay it no mind.

If I get your clues right, I'm thinking you're talking about a website that makes people want to "Scream" and escape, right?

They seem to just make things up.

I have no idea which site it was, I didn't read it just saw it reported.

The only way I can see Star Wars at DAK working is if they do a "Coruscant Zoo" area.

Coruscant is the giant city-planet and is the capital of the Star Wars world. That's where the Jedi Temple is and the Senate Building and where the Emperor takes control. It's like New York City but if it was the entire planet and not just a city.

My son told me that in some Star Wars art book they had a Zoo where all the animals from all over the place were kept on Coruscant.

They could possibly create a Coruscant Zoo at DAK that would have several rides showcasing the animals from the Star Wars universe. I envision that as a boat ride.

Then they could also have a ride based on Soarin...maybe taking you in the air and racing around to try to catch an animal to bring back to the zoo.

Though, of course, DAK was founded on the "NotAZoo" philosophy...so it would be oxymoronic to put a zoo area in DAK, even if it is for imaginary outer space animals.

I like Star Wars animals in DAK more than I would like the animals from Avatar, just because Avatar to me is a junky movie and Star Wars is a good set of movies my family enjoys watching.

What a shame that this game is based on a minor character of little importance in the Disney canon.

The DAK explorer game should've been based on the intrepid Junior Woodchucks Huey, Dewey and Louis!

Actually it was posed on Orlando United. It started when a fairly reputable member of the board said that Avatar was dead. Another reputable member brought up the rumor that it would be replaced by Star Wars. I am still skeptical but can't totally dismiss it.

Pandora in Animal Kingdom is a stretch already. Star Wars in Animal Kingdom? No sense.

This makes more sense than Avatarland. Very pleased to see Up make an appearance.
True, but enough with the interactive games add a couple quality dark rides, actual people eaters, Oh I dunno maybe a Bambi or Jungle Book ride. The fact AK doesn't have a big Bambi presence is beyond me.

That just sounds like the perfect storm of fanboy for me to truly believe it.

The rumor has been posted at Orlando united, it was started when a source at ILM said it was a possibility, along with a few other options. The whole rumor is several years, I repeat several years down the line, disney would like to have a Star Wars destination at all the parks. Coruscant-MK, Naboo-AK, Endor-HS, and Tattoine-Epcot. Now I have absolutely no confidence in this happening anytime remotely soon, due to disney liking to drag and the new trilogy, but it was presented before the buyout. I know a few Lucas people and they all say the same thing wait for a ground break before you should believe anything and wait for a year of construction before you are sure of it being constructed. Will it happen, who knows. Look at Avatar they actually announced it and most seniors show more signs of life. The only thing I'd put serious money on right now is a Pixar land and that nexgen will confuse and upset a lot of new and return guests

That is a great way to kill three theme parks...if the only thing that goes into DHS makeover is Pixar then well it won't fix the park...but thank God for Comcast...

Good point - it's remarkable that Jungle Book doesn't have a larger presence in the parks. I suppose there is a fairly established precedent to focus more on recent film properties though.
