Hi

Does anyoen know if you can get free wi fi in WDW???

I am coming from england and wondered if I can use a Ipod touch to mail back home???

We are staying at the music resort from 31/10 to 14/11

To the best of my knowledge no. I've heard there is free wi-fi at the McDonalds near AK but that would mean going to McDonalds :hurl:

No free wi-fi anywhere in WDW.

They'd rather charge you $10 per day for an in-room connection.

There is a McDonalds right across the street from Music, but I have no idea if they have wi-fi or not, as we have never visited that McDonalds.

That is correct, resort charges $10 a day for Wi Fi... And the McDonalds near the enterance of the All Star Resorts does offer free Wi Fi. They had a huge sign promoting the Wi Fi one year... Enjoy your stay!

cool - thanks for the info - does the mcdonalds at Downtown disney ahve the same Wi Fi Access?

Okay, I'm not "techie" at all, but I am almost 100% sure that the internet connection available in the room for $10 a day is for computer/ laptop only. I think you hook it up with a cord. I don't think it is wi-fi.

Don't know about the McDonalds in DTD, sorry!

In-room internet is through Ethernet cable; i.e. wired only. I believe there are a few resorts which offer even more expensive wifi in the lobby on a per-hour rate (instead of in-room per 24 hour rate) but not everywhere.

I too have a Touch and have scoured the parks looking for open signals. There is pretty much always a network found, but it's ALWAYS locked.

I have also heard that there is free Wi-Fi near the animation area at DHS.
