Why WDW needs to get HMH!!!!!

Right now, I think the best idea is for HMH to alernate between the parks. I really want to see it in person, but there's no way I'm going to be going all the way to CA in the near future. WDW's HM also needs the rehab badly.

I guess that makes me one of the guys in the minority. I LOVE NBC (I'm sure you my avatar makes it obvious) I've been to the Magic Kingdom in August of 03, May of 04 and I'm going again in December this year, then May of 05. I'm from Maryland, so I'm not a local, and I'd LOVE to see HMH at WDW. HM is one of my favorite rides, but I'd be nothing but ecstatic if we got it one year, I'd even make a special trip to see it. Just my 2 cents.

There are a number of others as well that can give you a good flavor.

The other thing that I really love about this is that it is the only "new" dark ride of any significance that has been introduced in far too long.

A little bit of a drift, but to avoid cloning and in keeping with the idea of a villains ride or area, a permanent NBC ride could be developed off of this in an expanded area of other villain attractions (20K?)

HMH Overlay

As someone that was against the HMH overlay until I saw it in person, I can only hope & pray that the Magic Kingdom gets this soon! I was VERY unhappy on my 2001 visit to Disneyland to learn that this would be in the place of my fave Haunted Mansion. Until I rode it. Then I couldn't plan my next visit to Disneyland fast enough! I was AMAZED at the fact that what I loved about the Mansion was STILL intact but that new and very fun elments had also been added.

I have to say though that it wasn't until I visited Disneyland this past May (I went out to ride DCA's Tower) that I fully understood the best part of HMH. How WONDERFUL the non-holiday Haunted Mansion, that I love so much, looked & sounded. This is a win-win for all! The original Haunted Mansion gets some much needed care every year and the holidays get a sweet gift from Santa in the form of this overlay.

The Studios have the Osborne Lights. They also have Star Wars Weekends and Super Soap Weekend. Epcot has Candle Light and Holidays around the World. Plus Epcot has Flower & Garden and Food & Wine. The Magic Kingdom could really benefit from this (and other additions). Shouldn't the Magic Kingdom be the very BEST park to visit during the holidays? Why shouldn't we have HMH and Small World Holiday and Holiday Wishes and a Holiday parade that runs for longer than 1 week? Shouldn't we be happy about and encourage investment in the Magic Kingdom? I for one believe that adding HMH to the Magic Kingdom is a step in the correct direction.

And I hated the whole idea, until I rode it!
