Hey all I loved our DL's HMH the first year and have not minded it the past 2, but I have always felt that the HM in MK could be amazing as HMH. Well check out this link to see just how amazing it could be http://www.jtcent.com/temp/tmph04h.html (one of the best sites for TDL/TDS stuff out there) he has video at the top (warning:huge file). Even though it is the 2nd year DL soundtrack it still looks good. If you guys get all the AA's I will move in to yours forsure!!!! Let us all hope next year we see pumpkins all around the HM.

I don't think HMH would be a good fit in Florida. Almost all of the visitors to WDW are from out of the region, which is not the same for either TDL or DL. Many of these people do not have the opportunity to go to WDW any time they want to, and most don't visit more than every few years. If I was to visit the MK once every 5 years, and I could not experience the classic attraction, I don't think I would be too happy. (Now as a local, I would not mind it at all, actually, I would love the opportunity to try something new.)

I do think however that the IaSW holiday overlay would not be a bad thing, as I don't think that ride is as dear to the average visitor.

My only beef with HMH in FL is a personal one. I tend to visit in early December or late November, and if HMH is all I got to see every year I'd be disappointed.

I don't go during the holidays so it would not matter to me, but if I did go during the holidays I would not want it there. I can't afford to go multiple times a year and not every year usually so I would hate for one of my favorites not to be the way it should be.

Jerm, Im here with ya! Bring HMH TO DISNEY WORLD!!! People dont know how much better that the HMH is versus the real version. Ive been to Disneyland only twice and Ive never seen the origional haunted mansion. Its always been HMH and that how i like it! Its what gets me to the west coast! you people would love it, trust me.

Same here. Christmas break is the only time our family gets a chance to go. It may be nice once, but the classic version is the one everybody in my family wants to see. I know we're not the only ones that count, but thats my two cents. :)

Wasn't Haunted Mansion Holiday offered to WDW for next year and they turned it down? So they're going to send it to Tokyo instead. I remember reading that somewhere.

And WDW's haunted Mansion is in DIRE need of a rehab. I went on it yesterday and the scrims in the graveyard were so dusty that you could see them. Plus the audio was really bad and some things appeared to be out of sync with the audio as well.

That's how the one at DL had gotten, and the only reason it got addressed was because everyone (i.e. show designers) was so appalled when they installed the holiday version; so, food for thought.

It is really great, and I'm not wild about the movie at all. If someone has a time machine, I'm willing to bet that anyone that only wants the original would say they wouldn't want it changed if the holiday version had come first, too. Then again, I spend a lot of time at Dead shows and in Jazz clubs, so I like it different every time.

I think it might be nice to have HMH in Florida. We are from Ohio but try to get down to WDW in different times of the year. It would be kind of nice to see that with the other decorations. at least once..... :animwink:

Exactly, it's what gets you to the west coast. I'm not much of a fan of sharing rides between parks. It takes away reason for me wanting to visit the Florida parks knowing that it will have the same attractions as Disneyland or vice versa. IMO

I really want to see Haunted Mansion Holiday because I *love* Nightmare Before Christmas. I watch it every year around Halloween and Christmas. But I have no idea when I'll afford a trip out west again (last trip was 15 years ago), so....

movie was too weird

I would like to see some kind of special thing happening for Halloween and the haunted mansion, only makes sense. Just dont understand the reasoning to use some weird movie like they did in California.

DID YOU JUST REFER TO THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHISTMAS AS "SOME WIERD MOVIE"? YOU'LL HAVE TO EXCUSE ME AT THE MOMENT, I'M OUT THE DOOR, BUT WHEN I GET BACK LATER, IF I'M STILL IN A BAD MOOD, YOU WILL BE AN UNHAPPY PERSON :fork:

The beauty of getting this, besides somethnig NEW & holiday related (which I'm a sucker for) would be they would REHAB the ride.

Isn't Small World the first of the "classic" Magic Kingdome attractions to be rehabbed? I can wait for a PoTC rehab if they plan on doing HM first in preparation for HMH. It's a win/win situation. Once the overlay is removed the attraction will be in better shape than it is now. :D

Worth it!

I have to say that when I finally got to see NBC in DL I was blown away. It maintains all of the great theming of HM with a simply amazing rework. Yes, it does help if you know the story of NBC, but without it it is still fun, after all HM really doesn't have a story.

I simply couldn't believe how basically the same ride could so completely be transformed, with a whole new set of jokes and music!

I appreciate the concern of those who would miss the original, but possibly alternating this might work. I suggest those with reservations, hold back until you have experienced NBC. Of course, JMHO

I agree that WDW don't need the HMH because many visitors are not locals like the Disneyland park.

I've never seen the HMH and if I wanted to ride it, I would go to Disneyland :lookaroun
