Why so much hate on Hollywood Studios?

Why don't they make it DCA East, hahaha...seriously that would be cool.
That would be cool, but i've been to DCA and didn't really love it. Maybe with the new remodel it will be amazing

Pre-remodel DCA reminded me so much of DHS. Hollywood Studios is a thematic mess right now, and while it does have some awesome attractions, it seriously needs some major work...theming cohesiveness, more family friendly rides(heck, more rides period!), and either updates to shows or new shows. The Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast...all seem so old and tired.
Ugh...and that stupid hat blocking the formerly awesome view of the Chinese Theater...
I don't see why so many people hate the hat so much. True, it doesn't really fit in perfectly, but it's the icon of the park and ties in some mickey

I agree. HS is now our favorite park. Love the atmosphere....

I've actually never really noticed much hate on DHS... maybe I'm not paying attention? I know the typical banter over AK but this is something relatively new to me.
I agree with previous sentiments about a lack of cohesion in terms of theme, in admitting that I still enjoy the park. The only part that really kills me is the following...
1.) the RnRc and ToT corner just doesn't feel right to me... I wish there was a way to continue on through to another portion. I don't like how its essentially a dumbbell, end of road choose left or right and thats it and then youre forced to double back through HB.
2.) what kills me the most... disney junior and all of the disney channel parades they have... it's just strange but I understand their market and the money involved.
3.) I'd like to see something else in the star wars section of the park... maybe something permanent highlighting the history of star wars with nice props or something.
I mean, it's still a great park so I'm being picky but I always go more than one day... I still enjoy it

WOW NOW I REALLY SEE IT!!!! I've never seen it without the hat, because I am too young to remember or prob wasn't even around without it, but now that I see that I really see why people want it gone

I like DHS. While I definitely see and feel a lot of the complaints, I still like the park, maybe even more than Epcot. 
I definitely agree that the park could use some refurb. IJ needs a definite update. Isnt it the same script from the 90s? lol. I can't wait to see the new ST. Pixar studios is decent but very crammed. I do agree that DHS kinda looks pieced together now. I think with a little bit of love, it could be awesome again.
Honestly, the park I don't RUN to is AK. There are things I like over there but I still feel it's a half day park

:wave:On a serious note, though. I do see and understand why people want it gone. I, personally, just could care less. :shrug: :ROFLOL:
