Why no forum for WDW WITHOUT kids?

I'm pretty sure at least half the users on this board go without kids anyway.

Also I don't like the "without kids" idea because it implies that WDW is intended for kids only and adults would have to do research to find fun things to do, and we all know that isn't true.

We have kids, but DH and I's trip in 2 days is KIDS free!!!!! So I would like a forum that's KID FREE just for our vacations that are adults only :)

i feel like the whole board is dedicated to everyone, and the travelling with kids section is a minority to the board itself. there is no implication that everywhere on the board is implied to children travelers and/or their families, but rather guests of disney. i feel like this is a non-issue.

Going to Disneyworld without children....is one of the best things you can do for your marriage!
:sohappy:
We eat when and what we want to...
drink everything we want to....
ride only the rides we want to....
maybe indulge in a couples' massage...
a round of golf....
a long lunch with wine and cheese...
or just a slow walk around the world holding hands.

We are now retired and vacation many places...but the place we have the most fun is WDW, just the two of us.

Everyone should do this. It's therapeutic, romantic, relaxing and re-energizing.

One of the things you can do without small kids is some of the fun tours. Last year the two of us did the Dolphins in Depth. It was AWESOME.
We're thinking of doing the Africa Trek this year.

I also tend to gravitate toward the childless trip reports. Just because they are easier for me to relate to and give better ideas for my next trip. My baby is 20 and grandkids better not come along anytime soon.

Well our "kids" are 43 and 41 and when we take them they bring their kids so where would we fit in. :)

...with us! lol. Have you noticed how many 3 generation families are at Disney now??? We try to make one trip alone and one with the family...each year. Doesn't always work out....but they are two very different....very wonderful trips. :)

We haven't been able to get both boys and their families together yet, geography and jobs interferring, but we're working on it. It is fun though with the grandkids, kind of brings back memories of being there with the boys as little ones.

Well....you can think about doing what we did....make part of the trip their Christmas gift from us... and part, their gift TO us!

We had a wise friend tell us that the best thing we can do for our family is to make our Christmas gift to them, "Family Time". It made sense. In fact, we've lined up a family picture for this trip.

Sorry to hear that, hope your ok. :)
Aw thanks. Not worried about the not able to have kids bit. Just thought it was ironic timing. I'm healing (SLOWLY) but I'm happy since now I can get on with my life and finally get healthy! So it was a good thing. Hard, but good.

We're getting together for Thanksgiving this year. Our son in Denver is coming here as our son here is having surgery. Hopefully, while we're together we can work out the details for next year.

MissM, glad the surgery went well. You will heal and things will get back to normal.

Thanks, I know it'll be good when I'm further along. It's just a slow process. But it's worth it to be healthy finally. :D The only thing that sucks is we're having a nice cool spell of weather - and I can't even go to WDW to enjoy it!

Youre being very brave MissM, get well soon, and I'm sure you'll soon be back at the World, feeling good and having a great time :)

On the main topic, much as I enjoyed WDW with my children when they were little, I enjoy it infinitely more now they are grown. Our adult only trips are so relaxing and fun and we have the freedom to do exactly as we please. The first time we went as adults only we were a little wary that we would feel a little silly; quite the reverse, we were amazed at how many child-free parties there were.

Miss M. Hope you are feeling better! Thats a tough surgery and I am glad everything went well!

DH and I have no children and don't plan on it. We typically travel with my parents who are in in their early 70's. A tread "without kids" is certainly something we would be in on! We are not really looking for the "party" ideas but, traveling to WDW without childern is truly magical in its own rite and would love to explore and talk about it more.

here checking in. Amazing that the wife and I still find the World a source of peace when all the screaming and crying is going on. We just feel like we're home when we're there. Happy spots: MK for the wife, Epcot World Showcase for me. What's not to love about a place with litres of bier, German food and an ompha band? :)

I hope it works out for you! Get the grandkids in your corner, first. :animwink:
