Why no forum for WDW WITHOUT kids?

here checking in. Amazing that the wife and I still find the World a source of peace when all the screaming and crying is going on. We just feel like we're home when we're there. Happy spots: MK for the wife, Epcot World Showcase for me. What's not to love about a place with litres of bier, German food and an ompha band? :)

....and transportation "home". :p

WOW! I'm so glad to hear the outpouring of support on this idea, thanks.

I was only asking because there are many things (besides drinking) that solo/single/childless people can do in the World that are not necessarily main-stream.

It was not meant in any way a slap to going with kids :lookaroun, but there is a separate forum on here about going WITH KIDS, so I just thought we could hit the other side of the coin.

Anyway, thanks everyone and lets keep this going! :sohappy:

Miss M. Hope you are feeling better! Thats a tough surgery and I am glad everything went well!
Thanks! I appreciate your well-wishes. :D

Youre being very brave MissM, get well soon, and I'm sure you'll soon be back at the World, feeling good and having a great time :)
I can't wait! Well, actually turns out I can, but boo... I wanna go now! Thanks though for the good wishes.

Hi! My husband and I are a childless couple with a dog. We will be visiting DW along with my Mom who is in her sixties a month from today. We haven't been in 10 years and never during holiday time so we are very excited! None if us drink and are wimps when it comes to rides but we always have a great time.

I have tried and tried to get my parents ( 70's ) to come with us for a trip... they are convinced WDW is no place to go unless you are young and have kids. I'm seriously thinking of kidnapping them and showing them the time of their lives!

I'm 69 and my wife is 63 and we have a great, great time when we visit on our own. We love to travel (I'm writting this from New Orleans) but no place makes me feel younger the WDW.

I'm 55 and the wife is. . . . . . well. . . . . . not quite 55 and we have been going to the World by ourselves for years. Most all of our anniversaries are celebrated there. We still have a ball at all the parks but just don't cover as much ground each day as we used to. I still feel like a kid each time we go. And we don't plan on stopping any time soon.

The CM while making reservations asked me to name our Gathering I told him just to call us TAG. Silence fell over the phone and he asked, TAG? I said yup....The Above Ground Group!

I think it's wonderful that some of you go in your 50s and 60s or older! I am in my 30s and hope I am like you.

jlev,

We did a weekend trip to New Orleans a few years ago and want to go back.

lynnkatherine,

Good luck convincing them! I agree with the others, show them this thread.
