Why isn't there a Jungle Book attraction?

DAK and Adventureland have incompatible themes to the Jungle Book.

There is no JB attraction for the same reason there is no 101, Bambi, Lady and the Tramp attraction: superior classic management based attractions on what the parks needed, not on what franchise they had to shove down the guest's throat.

Although granted, the franchise-vending is now so rampant and has diminished so much what it means to be Disney, that it is the modern guests themselves who ask for everything to be IP based.

Great movie, btw.

Best segment of Enchanted Forest show that ran last year in DLP. The JB has some great songs, would make for a great show, or show segment.
I never saw the Jungle Book show at DAK, sadly, but I believe it wasn't well received.

Ah, I forgot about that one! Thanks for the reminder. I never saw it at AK and am sad that it wasn't well-received. It's surprising to me because it has some of the best Disney songs in the canon as well as lovable characters.

I don't think that the Jungle Book and Adventureland have incompatible themes. In a sense, Mowgli is the ultimate adventurer. And while I know what you mean about shoving franchises down guests' throats, I think there was an opportunity to do a really great attraction that would have fit seamlessly into Adventureland, while also incorporating popular music and characters.

I think they’ll retheme Kali, if I had to guess.
Couldn't hurt. There's one instance where an IP would enhance the ride.

Why not!? Kali's easily the worst rapids ride in all of themparkdom. (Sorry Disney 😞 )The backstory is nearly non-existent and the ride is painfully short. It doesn't help when story detail continues to vanish when effects and props are removed/shut off. Meh... this is one instance where an IP takeover would probably enhance the attraction. I say go for it! There's enough source material from "The Jungle Book" that WDI should be able to concoct a serviceable and possibly even better ride using the IP. That said, if Kali was converted I'd like it to be understated and grounded in realism. It practically works considering "deforestation" (the dangers of man's red flower) was a key theme in the movie. Then again, that's just swapping one "turned off" fire effect for another.

As much as I'd love for Kali to get some love I'm thinking The Jungle Book, with it's charms, zany characters and tunes would be better suited for a kiddy land; like Dinoland USA. But boy oh boy do I wish Kali some much needed improvements.

Why did they close Snow White, The Great Movie Ride, and Mr Toad in a park(s) that has the space and needs as many rides as possible?
