i for one.. being a member of the original Mickey Mouse club, have always taken excellent advise from jiminy cricket. And yet I never see him in the parks NOR do I hear him during the night shows as in the past at Magic Kingdom.. where is he and why is he missing from the parks? He is an intracule part of the Walt Disney philosophy and how to be like WALT..

Jiminy Cricket used to be the face of their environmental initiatives around the resorts. Someone I know twenty years ago might have taken the plastic recycling can from the room with Jiminy on it, he might also have a sticker with the same theme on it.

Don’t steal coffee with an old mug, poolhop or park in a wrong resort to access the parks though that is bad.

He’s just not that popular or well known by the kids of today. They’d much rather hear announcements from characters like Olaf and such lol

He was also always the face of the fire escape routes, how to deadlock your hotel room, keep your car valuables safe, etc.

Jiminy is still very relevant. But like many of the characters Disney holds back, he isn’t seen regularly except for special events. He used to be found in MK and AK on a consistent basis but then a few years ago he started to appear less and less. I once got a special B day party for my DW and arranged for an appearance where he’s spent over an hour with us. At that time I was told they had to find a CM who could fit the costume and was available for the time frame.
When we visit WDW my DW has a stuffed Jiminy on the back of her w/ c and I have one on my backpack. I can’t tell you how many guests approach us asking where they can find a Jiminy to buy. And most CM’s tell us he is their favorite character. No one can tell me why he isn’t being showcased. Merch connected to Jiminy is also very sparse and most of the time I’m having to deal with eBay sellers.
I do wish Dis would return Jiminy to the parks on a regular basis and bring out more merch for us Jiminy fans.

He isn't showcased because generally speaking, he isn't popular enough.

Disagree. He’s popular and sought out by many. Disney simply doesn’t bring him out. There are many many characters that guests would love to see on a regular basis but don’t get the chance unless they pay for an event and are at WDW when the events occur.
Look at the lines that build in a moments notice when any of the iconic characters are brought out. If he wasn’t popular you’d never see him at all.
