Why I prefer the boat from Poly to MK.

Early evening, Oct. 2015. So we often take the monorail just because, but mostly prefer the boat launches and here is why:

I took the boat from Poly to MK last month late at night and it was teeming with spiders! They were just hanging off the awning. *shudders*

But your pictures are lovely. :)
I have never seen more than a couple and they are to be expected in Florida. Soon as you get rid of one another is coming along.

Just a piece of info for everyone, last week I timed our launch trips and they were faster than I expected. From the Poly to MK they varied from 4-6 minutes. Beats the monorail every time.

The ferry boat I was on from the poly to MK was infested with Mosquitos! They were swarming the ceiling and windows!

To the OP your photos are very pretty though. I'm glad you had a nice ride.

There were at least half-a-dozen spiders of varying sizes (a couple quite large) on the particular journey that @Sans Souci describes. I'm used to spiders, so I didn't notice at first, but once they were pointed out to me, they were kind of :banghead:

I always have to take a boat at WDW. Usually at Epcot and HD areas. We took this boat last trip, they are cool little boats! We still haven't taken the ferry into MK.
Have you ever rode the boat from POR to Disney Springs and back? It is a fun, scenic ride. We sometimes park at POR and take the boat over to DS just for the heck of it. A couple of times we have gone, got off the boat, walked around for just a few minutes then got on the next boat back, just to enjoy the boat ride. If you do this in the middle of the day, it is usually not crowded at all.
Same thing at WL. We like to take the boat over to FW and the Contemporary, or the other to MK from WL. Nice ride, good views.
