I know how long it's been around. I've been around the show since it opened back in 2006. Plus I have friends in the show, and they all enjoy it

I'm not saying I don't enjoy or the cast doesn't, but Walt Disney wanted to see things evolve an not have the same show based on the Year of a Million Dreams campaign. All I want to know is why not something new?

Not to put a huge damper on things, but...

The castle show was designed to keep the under-5's entertained while their parents found the best place to park the strollers along Main Street --

It was designed with that goal, and only that goal in mind -- traffic flow and crowd dispersal.

It's doing a great job with that, why would they spend the money to change it? The under-5's like it -- even some adults seem to like it -- the cast seems to enjoy appearing in it -- and it will stay there until they need to create something different for different traffic dispersal down the road -- I imagine around the time the expansion opens....

Which is of course why there's plenty of rides and attractions older than the current castle stage show currently ongoing.....

They may break out something new when the FLE is in full swing. Until then, it's simply a stage show, it's seemingly well-liked, and there's no real need to change it.

I'm not saying I don't like it nor enjoy it an I do enjoy helping the mouse protect the kingdom n such it's I just don't understand why they haven't changed it we had cinderellas suprise celebration then cinderellabrattion for approx 15 months an then this for 6 years? Is this typical for a stage forecourt show to run that long?

CSC ran for a few years, so I'm sure longer shows is not uncommon. In fact, if Dream Along wasn't playing now, that's the show I wish was back (I loved that show).

I wonder if the cast members who developed new shows weren't laid off three years ago. It would kind of make sense, sad as it would be.

I rather like the current show!

I think the audience participation bit is awkward. As it always is.
'We all need to work together, on the count of three let's all find the magic inside of hearts in dream together one more time! Remember reach deep inside and say over and over real loud! Dreams come true!'
* cue that middle-aged guy right behind you awkwardly mumbling 'dreams come true' *

But I love the music! They perform many of my favourite truly classic Disney songs, from the old princess movies! Yay!

I’m a little surprised those CMs who quit thought the show was getting stale when they got new outfits last year. Granted they haven’t kept the material up like they did in Disneymania. I’ve always wondered how princess and the frog would work as the second act in DAWM after they had that fantastic Showboat show!

Dream Alnog could still be around because the guests still love it. Since DAWM has been on their new schedule in 2012(which I’m so happy about!!) I’ve found on YouTube that guests cheer louder at the finale after dark than during the day. DAWM has lasted longer than CSC and Cindybration. I think the last show to last 6 years was Every Day’s a Holiday.

I think DAWM was a fantastic idea by MK! (If it came from Meg…wow Shocker!!LOL!!!!!!) the show redeemed MK after Cindybration. How long it should last is anyone’s guess.

If anything replaces DAWM, 2014??? That’s a little long for DAWM and CADCT even though I love both. It should top it or at the very least be at he same level as DAWM or any castle show(xmas, July 4th , normal) that was done before CSC came along.

Are you talking about any Castle Show? Or just Dream Along?

I was worried about this at first since I was 21 at the time and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse just came out before DAWM opened. However, MK did the right thing and took music from TDL and made a show for just about every disney fan. I think DAWM is for any age.

I think a previous poster summed it up pretty well. It's still testing well with guests and is still pulling people into the hub. When those start tanking, a switch will happen - but we can't expect Disney to dump money into a new show until that time. And it costs ALOT of money to create a new show. The cast members I know who perform in it seem to like it pretty well - and those who don't.. they understand they aren't there to entertain themselves.

Testing??? MK is still testing DAWM on guests?? DAWM is 5, going on 6 years old. Shouldn't MK know by now DAWM does well in MK???

What's the reasoning on testing?? Testing was brought up on a MISICI Topic a few months back. I can see testing something first like Fastpass for CADCT, now MESP. But, to test something runing for 3 or 5 years, Why? I don't get it.

Wonder if MK tests CADCT once in a while? If they do, I wonder what they find.

Correct. No matter what any of us think about any given entertainment offerings, management is actually able to pretty accurately gauge how they are doing.... And it can actually be even more important as a show or offering gets older, because it does run the risk of getting stale, or not pulling guests in the way it is intended.
