Why exactly are the cabins at Fort Wilderness a moderate level and not a deluxe?

I find them to be quite nice and would stay there if they were cheaper but from what I can tell they are as pricy as a deluxe? Wait maybe I just thought of the reason to my question as I type this: because you can sleep more people in them?

We have stayed in the cabins twice. The higher price is definitely that they sleep more guests but they also have a full kitchen as well. The last time we stayed in the cabins was in 2009 and during that trip we stayed at FW for 7 nights (it was that buy 4 get 3 nights free package--magical) and then we moved over to WL for a major upgrade. One of the biggest differences we noticed in that switch from moderate to deluxe was the better mattresses/linens/pillows....a major step above i comfort, IMO. Everyone in our party agreed that trip.
I think that the cabins are a great value for their rate and what they offer. My DH always talks about staying there again but I said that was our last time. We have also become DVC members since and have mostly stayed at our 2nd home, BLT.
FW is a great property for families, there is so much to do there and we loved renting the golf cart to get around there.

Comparing a cabin to a standard room is like comparing a standard room to a suite. They cost more because they are larger, have full kitchens, living space, accommodate more people, etc. As to its classification as a moderate, the camp grounds amenities and set up line up with the moderate classification more so than the deluxe or value category.
