Why does everything hit unexpectedly right before vacation?

OK, vacation is not supposed to be this stressful, but everything is hitting at the same time and make it such a pain to be ready to go...

1. Work can't seem to find its elbow from its (you know what)
2. $1000 in vet bills for the dog
3. $900 hot water heater
4. Dog completely split the pad of his foot through with the claw almost completely off. No clue what that is going to cost when he goes to the vet again today.
5. I know I can't control it, but Winter seems to finally be starting. It looks like most of our trip will be 60s/40s and wet.

I am still happy to be going, but it is just such a PITA at the moment to be excited. I am just waiting for the next "big" thing to happen in the next week.

I'm coming to the party! Let's see little boy I watched for 3 years his mom got transferred, new heating system, over $1000 for car expenses and not done yet, snow blower crapped out during blizzard, freaks run the asylum I work at but you know I get home at night, pull out my Disney book, hop on here to see my friends, gets some snuggles from the cat and yeah I the kids too and all of a sudden I'm going full steam ahead. It's nice to come here to share with your friends we know how it feels.

I'm not sure when your trip is, but the temps for the next couple of weeks are supposed to be 70's & 80's during the day, mostly 60's & 70's at night. Don't let the rain predictions throw you. We've been her for 2 1/2 weeks now, and had rain only twice despite similar forecasts.

I hear you. I always have to balance between worrying about paying for everything and excitement for the trip. Usually, I'm in worry mode up until the month before, when we've finally paid it off and have enough saved up. Then I start to get excited. Still in worry mode at the moment...

Last year I got laid off 2 weeks before we were going to the World. We still went and had a great time. IN all honesty we should have extended our trip.

I know what you mean. 2 weeks before we leave in a few days I was told that the company I've been with for 10 years is now closing it's doors. Still going to WDW though

It's just life...
we are just before out trip and...
The whole family has been sick... I mean really sick.
My daughter just got her cast off
I just injured my already bad knee
We have work being done on our house and it has rained for a week so it might not get done before our trip.

Oh boy can I relate to this.... LOL It's called Murphy's Law unfortunately. One of the reasons I try to do all of my planning and must dos way ahead of schedule is due to Murphy's Law striking when I least expect it. We always make the best of it though, and honestly, once my feet hit Disney soil, everything goes to the wayside. I figure theres nothing I can do, so for a week or more, enjoy my surroundings and deal with it when my plane lands back in Philadelphia LOL Chin up!!!!
