Hi everyone!!

Just a quick question that will probably get a lot of response. Anyone who knows me knows that I love almost anything Disney and especially Walt Disney World. I've been asked many times, "What do you love so much about Disney World?"

I figured I'd pose the question to other Disney lovers our there.

For me, it just brings me back to my childhood and makes me feel like a kid. It also makes me forget about everything else going on in this crazy world and I think we all need that once in a while. I can go on and on, but want to hear your answers.

Being 34 years old with 2 kids of my own, I have plenty of responsibilities, but refuse to grow up!! :p I think that's what life should be about and want to teach that to my kids. What better place than Disney World?

Only 70 more days til I'm Home!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

The reason that I love Disney is not only because its a nice place to visit with the family but also because it is the center of optimism. We need a place like that in a world full of bad news. Disney allows us to step out of our adult live and really live life like a child and forget our problems.

my dad's #1 rule about disney, you cannot go there as an adult or you will not have fun! Disney brings out the child in everybody. Disney has fun rides, wonderful caring atmosphere, and the theming helps bring some happiness into the lives of those less happy. Disney helps to bring in some good into peoples lives. Disney is just fun fun fun and the happiest place on earth. Thats why I love Disney. It brings out the little kid in me and my family. Hopefully Disney will turn my unruly 17 yr. old sister around or she's out the house

I love WDW b/c itr allows me to forget all the crzy and scary things I witness and deal with on a day to day basis as a child welfare worker and regular every day person. It allows me to have fun and not to worry about all the ugliness in the world. WDW is a place where the vilians never win and optimism and good prevail and thrive. Need I say more?

It has to be the magic!

Just this morning my 4 year old and I were watching something and she asked about it. How did they do that? I said I didn't know. Then in her sweet little 4 year old voice said, "Maybe it's Magic, Like at Disney World?

Little things like that will keep me coming back!!

Theming, attractions, and technology do it for me

Characters, "magic", and all that other stuff don't do much for me. I can't stand the characters and all that cheesy stuff that goes with it (meet n greets, character breakfasts, etc). And all this princess stuff? Give me a break.

But I can stroll around the Poly and imagine I'm in the middle of Hawaii, or walk through classic Hollywood in MGM, or walk through an African village that looks like it's been there for hundreds of years.

I can go on a rapids ride at my local Six Flags, but I prefer Kali because of the theming. I can go on a stupid dark ride here, but the theming of the Disney rides blows them all away.

The technology level at Disney is higher than any other park I've seen. No other park chain (except Universal) consistantly designs custom ride systems. Thanks to Disney, we have EMVs, travelling theaters (UOE and TOT), and the Test Track system. Also, the animatronics that Disney designs and employs are the best in the industry.

I could go on and on here... :)

Walt Disney World is the most magical place on earth and I never have found a place quite like it. It's the one place that all my worries go away, and my dreams and wishes come true. It's where the youth in me will always stay alive and I will never grow old. Disney World is where I can go to escape reality and be in a whole new world. It's a place that words can't really describe, but rather leave you speechless. It's the place that puts tears in your eyes thinking about it, seeing it, and leaving it above all others.

The place took my imagination when I was a small child watching reruns of Disneyland. Being English in a age before relatively cheap transatlantic travel it was a distant dream.

I did not make it over until I was able to pay my own way and got there aged 20. It was worth the wait.

I like the atmoshpere, the themeing, the cleanliness, the rides, the shows, the smiles, the escapism... I could go on, but you get the general idea.

Most of my friends think I am not quite right :D

The Fireworks! I don't live that far from Boston and I could have gone to the 4th of July festivities with the Boston Pops and the fireworks but to me they are nothing like what you see at Disney.

38 days til I get all the fireworks fixes I want!

When I was at the original Disneyland in 2002, just a few months after a honeymoon at WDW, I realised that the only time I really feel completely at ease is in a Disney park. I'm not saying that it automatically happens each day for the whole time. However, the outside world really ceases to exist to me, there is no job to return to, there are no chores or responsibilities, and nothing but freedom and happiness.

Of course, I greatly enjoy other vacations, too, but there's something special about the Disney vacations. I also think it's more than just remembering going to WDW as a youngster. My wife had never been to WDW before our honeymoon, and she feels pretty much the same way. When stress gets overwhelming and New England winter starts to wear her down, she starts thinking about Epcot.

I think most of us could write pages and pages of thoughtful reasons why we love WDW. One thing that does sadden me is that, for the most part, I have to make a conscious effort to see through the crass commercialism that exists to some degree at WDW. It's not a big deal, and I can do it fairly easilly, but I remember a time when I didn't have to.

It is easier to say what I DON'T like about Disney. I DON'T LIKE LEAVING. I love everything Disney. Rides, theming, food, fun with family, reliving the childhood memoies, the smile that never leaves my face, the look on my daughters face...
21 days and counting!!!

There is definitely magic...you forget all about time, like what day it is and all of your worries. Also for anyone that has been to Universal..the two don't even compare. At Universal you have kids running all over the place and screaming while at Disney kids are well behavied and in awe. Its nice to be at a place were you know your kids are safe and everyone gets along.

It's an absolute escape from the mundane, ordinary, banal and stressful.

It's a place where you don't have to be responsible, adult or grown up.

It's a place where you have fun without needing to try to have fun, where it just happens because for once, you can let it happen.

No borders, no walls, no worries, no stresses, just you at your best, acting young and full of the potential and possibility of life.

I love the "magic".
I love the escape from reality.
I love the theming.
I love the fun which seems to emanate from everything Disney.
and finally
I just love being there!!
