So you must be about five hours different from us give or take a few minutes to adjust for wind currents. Must be about 8:46 a.m in your part of he world...do you drive on the wrong side of the road as well?
Afraid so..East coast USA is 5 hrs behind Scotland west coast is 8 hrs..But member asking comes from Indianna which is 6 hrs...At this moment it's 9.50am..And your quite correct..We do drive on the left..It's just the rest of you that got mixed up..Thats what you get for building huge highways..;)

I'm not sure that the rooms are larger. But it is certainly a very different experience - the resort is lovely. It is far away from all the parks except AK, but you also feel that you are far away from the crowds, etc.

It also has one of the most beautiful bars on property (IMO) ;)
Just a wee bit bigger..PORS rooms 314 sq metres...AKL rooms 344 sq metres..;)

So if we follow that rabbit down the hole, then For Nov 2015 bookings we're looking around April 2014 for Disney to release dates. not sure how far out they release booking dates

Ok..Forgive me please but I was checking out my old tickets from our first trip..A company still going strong in the UK called " Attractions Direct "..They now operate holidays to WDW with a sister company " Complete Orlando "... Unfortunately 2015 prices aren't available yet..So I checked out October 11-25 for 2014..Staying at PORS for 14 nights..2 adults..1 sixteen year old..3..14 day park hoppers and Free:happy: QS DDP..Total cost..£3270..( Thats $4905 )...The same package booking direct with WDW is £3298 ( $4947 ) Not a huge difference..This is where my eyes popped out my sockets..I noticed AKL was also on Complete Orlando,so I put in same dates..same passengers..same tickets..same 14 night vacation.Total cost £3368....( $5052 )..And wait for it..Free DDP but because its a deluxe it's 1 TS meal..1 CS meal..Therefore for an extra $147..I had to rub my eyes..check..double check..recalculate..:jawdrop:..I then phoned the company to verify..Yep..these are the prices..They get offers from WDW depending on how busy certain resorts are at different times of the year..Now to my question..I think I know the answer here..What would you do in my situation..Pay the extra $147 for a 14 night stay at AKL instead of PORS ( My beloved resort ) remembering the free upgrade of the DDP..Thats 10 dollars 50 cents a night...I don't know wither to laugh :joyfull: or cry:cry:.Now I know it's 2014 prices, and I'am not going till 2015.. But if that offer came up..What would you do..?

Well, if you strongly value food being part of the experience, then I'd do the AKL option. But if it's all about the money, then the free QS DDP is better off. Worst case scenario is that if you follow through with the PORS plan, you can still dine at TS but pay out of pocket for that. But do what you want! It's your vacation!

Yeh..Totally agree..In all our last trips we ate mostly QS but always add TS meals..Now last year was the first time we landed free :) DDP at PORS..But we added 3 ADRS and of course payed out of pocket..The bill for the three restaurants came to just over $500 including tips..So I sat down and worked out what my bill would be for 14 nights of TS tipping.( typical scots eh ) I have looked at menus for restaurants that we hope to book, jotted down what I think we will eat,etc..The total bill for all our TS meals for tipping was approx $300...So it would definitely pay for us to book AKL and get the free:) TS DDP...Are you reading this @MR FERRET ..;)
