Why are they closing Snow White?

Looking at from above, it appears that the bulk of the building could be demolished while still leaving the pyramid facades:

universe of energy would maybe work better for trackless technology? I mean if a existing building were to be used. Okay I know we got off topic here but def interesting stuff.
