We're headed down there May 28 to June 1st,
I think me and my husband are more excited than our two children, We have a countdown on the refrig, I have one on my computer desktop (34 days to do!!!) :sohappy: :sohappy:

We got a great deal at the Wilderness Lodge this time, we normally stay at the All-Stars, so we are EXTREMELLY happy to be staying at the Wilderness this time.

We are quite dissappointed about May E-ride nights, and also about loosing EE and shorter May park hours than last year. We plan the whole vacation around these things.

Being the Disney die-hards we are, vacationing there for just about 20 years, we have seen little things slide gradually over the last few years, but never this wholesale slash and burn of services. This is the first time in 20 years we have ever been dissapointed about going to Disney and its even BEFORE we get there. On top of everything else, we are DVC owners. If things continue to slide, we have been considering dumping our ownership. It was "perks" like these that sold us on DVC, so now, in a way, we feel "bait and switched".

I called Disney directly on their 407-WDisney number thats how I found out the E-Ride nights were cancelled for the entire month! Maybe if everyone who is going to go in May that reads this board emails a complaint they will put them back. When i asked them why they posted and then cancelled they had no real answer! First tried to blame Grad nights..but those are over the first week of may so that doesnt really answer beyond May 3rd..when the last grad night is! It is so disappointing to have them hype it up and then cancel it! Sort of same with the spectro magic parade...we will be there 10 nights its only going on once!!
If I hear of any changes for May I will post here! Please do the same~

I just e-mailed WDW, go to www.disneyworld.com and at the bottom of the page you will see Guest Services, double click and a form will pop up. I picked the ticket category to send my e-mail. I informed them that this was the third disappointment and fourth glich in our upcoming trip and we haven't even left yet, just as someone else had posted. I listed my disappointments and glichs and thought that if they wanted to keep and get the tourist dollar they were going about it the wrong way. I said I would be optimistic and try to get the "Magic" back for our upcoming May trip to WDW.

Oh Davis224, I am not saying that they have cut SpectroMagic. What I found out when I called Disney and talked to the Cm's found out about e-ride nights being cancelled so I checked on the other big things the kids wanted to see...spectromagic being a big thing for the girls...the CM checked for me for my dates...10 nights and she said that it was only running one time on one evening and that day would probably be really crowded at the MK so we would be better off to spend the day in a different park and head back about 2 hours early to MK to get our spots for the parade..which is exactly what we will do since we only have one shot at seeing the parade in the ten days we are there...cant let the kids miss it since they are looking forward to it soo much! Ah the things parents do for thier kids haha...no I will sit with strollers parked staking our claim while daddy takes them on a ride, restroom etc! then meet me back about half hour early! call disney with your dates and they can tell you if spectro magic will be running when you are there!

Reasons beyond my control. I'm just a poor college kid, but I was going to meet my family there in May. Now my mom has to work most of the days they were going to be there. Oh well, I have a feeling I'll get back there eventually. Since my birth, my all time low for going to Disney in a year is 2 times. I've technically already been there twice this year, and there's plenty of time to go back.

Sorry to hear that Fatboy.:(
But I will be going on May 11-17 and staying at the Poly with my girlfriend. Its the first time for her at Disney and she is 23. I don't know if I'm more excited for myself or for her. I can't wait, although, I was a little dissapointed that they canceled the E-ride night and more importantly, the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks. I thought It would be so romantic sitting at the Polynesian beach and watching Fireworks over the Castle. Oh well, I'm sure there will be enough "magical memories" to be found elsewhere.

I am sure there will be enough Magical Memories..but you should drop them a note and complain about the fireworks just the same...people expect the fireworks and they advertise the heck out of them on the video and the commercials...sort of false advertising if you ask me...we are still going..the kids wouldnt understand and we will be "makin memories ...." just the same! ok is that song stuck in everyones head now????

Hey Dwarful:animwink:
Who would you reccomend I contact first with my complaint?
Like you said, I can almost understand cutting corners and eliminating E-nights. But Fantasy in the Sky is a stapple for any Disney goer and Its a real shame there taking those away as well. I feel bad for your kids that they might miss the expierence of watching the Fireworks from MainStreet USA. Its on of my earliest childhood memories. And probaly contributed to me being the Disney nut I am today

I say that proudly.:sohappy: :sohappy:

well, when I called the CM gave me the following email address to contact with my complaints...and believe me I did. I have promised the kids we will do the parade..as long as they dont cancel the one night they still have schedueled. I honestly didnt think it would be an issue with us being there 10 nights! but here is the email address!

WDW.Guest.Communications@Disney.com

Thanks for taking the time to make the complaint. maybe it will make a difference!
