Well......call it a "downgrade" if you want.

But, we had a 2 BR Boardwalk Villa reservation for Nov., and by switching to 2 adjacent rooms at POR, we shaved nearly $3000 off of our package price!
:sohappy:

We'd never stayed at Boardwalk, and while the full-kitchen, etc. would've been nice, I feel pretty good about cutting the cost and staying at POR! It's without doubt, my fave moderate.

57 days! Whoo-Hoo!

Wow that is great. There would be no question for me to switch from BW to POR, saving $3000, that is just a huge savings.

Have you ever been to POR?? POR is my favorite that I've stayed at so far. There is nothing bad that I could say about that place! I will be at POFQ in 51 days...maybe I'll see ya on the Sassagoula to DTD!!!!

But think of all the money you would've saved making breakfast in your room! During vacation!

:ROFLOL:

Yeah, can't say as I'd blame ya. Much like it's not worth it for DVC members to use their points to stay at non-DVC resorts, so too does it seem really bad economics for any non-DVC member to spend that kind of cash on any sort of suite. A studio I can half-understand, but not the suites. Even if you have a big family, you're almost always better off getting adjoining rooms.

Now, if you were to rent someone's DVC points, then you'd see some savings.
