I thought i would go outside the box a little bit. In real life I want to take my 4 year old grandaughter next year. Fingers crossed it will happen.

Some other choices I was thinking about, People who are no longer with us but would be people who would think WDW would be amazeing...

1) Thomas Edison

2) Micheal Angelo

3) Ub Iworks

4) Mark Twain

5) Babe Ruth

6) Jules Vern....Like to have shown him his inspired ride :(

Just to name a few

If we are talking about people besides family, I would have to got with...Mike Rowe from dirty jobs, seems like he would be fun to hang out with. Walt Disney would be great just for the insight of what his thoughts are of how the parks have turned out to be and how it all started, but I wanted to be a little more original.

This post would be more fun if people choice people other than family and significant others!

I would say Zac Efron because hes sooo cute and he has Disney connections so that could come in handy haha, I like thinking of disney as a romantic place

I would take Jerry Mathers. I just loved watching Leave It to Beaver reruns when I was a kid!! He is on my facebook andhe is really really funny. I just think it would be awesome to hang out with the Beaver at WDW! I think I would take him to HS. :)

My wife, and I already do so.
Second place, my daughter, and I already do so.
Why? Because love is stronger than curious fascination.

Great line.
We always go as a family of 4, and I always wanted to show my mom "our Disney", and I was lucky enough to be able to take her along on our last trip this past March. That was special.

I guess if she is taking the Beaver than I better grab Eddie Haskill!

Wow!!! How noble.......or sappy?
I'll take the latter.
Spare me that sap!!! I wish there was a "barf" smiley icon.

Walt, without a doubt.

If you love Disney, it's Walt.

MY daughter, age 23. We have been going together to WDW and sometimes Disneyland since she was 3. Sometimes she would bring a friend, but the last 7 years it has just been the two of us. There is no one else in the world I would rather share WDW with than my daughter. The two of us leave for WDW September 3!

Hm... I wish that I had considered you and your opinions before I had posted my response. But then again, wouldn't it be sappy of me to consider your feelings ahead of my personal opinion? I'll post for my own edification, and worry about you being a sapophobe some other time.

It's one thing if you're naming a deceased friend or family member, or somebody who never gets to go.

But naming somebody you're already visiting with on a regular basis??
Sorry, my opinion only, but that's pure MUSH!!!

I probably would have let it go if other lemmings hadn't come in and said what a wonderfully sweet response you gave.:veryconfu Spare me.

For the record, I'd choose my wife as well, but would never answer that way because it's......well........sappy.......way too sappy.
And there's enough sap on Disney websites.

No worries, looks like you've got some other "mushies" on this thread.

Wonder if they would have come in if you hadn't answered "with such feeling"?

Where's that "barf" icon?
Ohhhh, found it!!! :hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl:

There was a time in our society when insensitive thoughts were restricted to one's mind, as opposed to being verbalized for no discernible reason beyond selfish pleasure. It would seem that those days are slowly dwindling to an end. Your opinions ("barf, lemmings, mushies, come in") serve no purpose beyond insulting me, and several other members of this forum. While you are certainly entitled to express your opinions, one would hope that you would exercise a bit more restraint and show some discernment in how you communicate with others. Such hopes are dashed.
As for the emoticons available on this forum, I only wish that Steve would install one that aptly expressed my disdain for rude and obnoxious posts. Dare to dream rsoxguy, dare to dream...

Very well put RSOXGUY. I could not agree more with your post. I don't feel it was mushy, you expressed how you feel (and i think it's great) More people should openly express those feelings for their spouse. I feel the same as you do. I would take my Husband and then my Daughter and then my Son.

Benjamin Franklin. I know he lived well before my time, but I've always thought it would be interesting to just sit down in World Showcase for a while and just talk, maybe read some Steinbeck, and discuss American history.

Oh wait a minute...

LIKE

personally, mine is my baby Elias. he is due to be born 11/2. i've literally been dreaming of his visits for decades, and honestly my entire adult life.

i named him after walter disney. i bought dvc on his behalf. i currently watch dumbo each night as he sleeps in my wife's belly and listens quietly. i dream of his expression at seeing main street for the first time through understanding eyes. better yet, i long for the experience of riding each ride with him for the first time!

sappy? (no)--------> DISNEY

night... ;)

tw- father to be.

My dad! He is the one that instilled in me my love of Disney. Sadly he passed away in '91.
He took us every year from '72 - '76 then finances became too big of an issue and we couldn't returned before his passing.
He was also a thrill junkie so I know he would love the "new" rides.

I too would bring my dad! He too is the one who instilled in me my love of Disney. Sadly he passed away in 1984.
He took us on our 1st trip to the world in 1974 ... I was hooked.

Years later ... Along came my wonderful husband & off to Disney we went ... the memories & magic for me returned!!!

Love them both with all my <3

Okay, so a day with Walt would be great but I would probably be completely tounge-tied!
So, the real answer for me would be my dad. We were discussing a trip for late January 2007 (well away from NY state's deer hunting season and a low crowd time as he spent several years in Nam and didn't really care for crowds). He was looking forward to doing WDW with DH, DS, and I. January 30, 2006 (my anniversary) came the phone call - bone cancer. He left us on Feb 26, 2006 and we never had the chance to tour WDW together. Still miss him so much ....

I dunno; I believe you're wrong. I like going with the Walt Disney I've read about and watched from TV. A creepy, brought-back-from-the-dead Walt probably isn't good company.

Besides, I can't bring people back from the dead. It's not a pretty picture. I DON'T LIKE DOING IT!
