Who whines more? WDW'ers or DL'ers?

So who are the biggest Disney whiners in america? We Walt Disney Worlders or Disneylanders? What would a Disneylander complain about anyway...DL is perfect right?

Wouldn't say whines the most, but here's how I'd put it from experience of reading all kinds of peoples' posts.

WDW fans put up with the most crap and generally accept it.

DLR fans are the most critical, as they should be.

TDR fans are the most boastful, and they have the right to be (have you seen TDS?!).

HKDL fans are the quietist- for now. I don't know why this is, but I never see many trip reports from here.

While your phrasing seems antagonistic, I'll assume it is a genuine question.
The lovers of Disney Parks complain because we do love it so much. We want the quality to shine.
DL visitors used to complain more, but then things improved. While it is not perfect, the quality currently shines.
WDW visitors are complaining more at this time because the quality has declined. We hope to see the same attention DL received when they voiced their complaints.

My question is genuine though I'm being sarcastic about DL being perfect. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places but I don't seem to hear lots of complaints about DL. In fact it would seem that DL'ers are hardcore defenders of their park.

They want the best for their park and they should! It's Walt's original park! It's probably the flagship park if I had to guess too- even if it isn't officially.

The Disneyland fans. Because the average Disneyland guest knows their Disney much better than the average WDW guest. If one small show detail is out of place or poorly kept many DL visitors will notice. Meanwhile, at WDW only a tiny fraction of the guests will spot it.

DL gets a very soft ride from the fans on this board. It's usually only brought up in comparison to WDW, as an example of how things are done better. In other words, DL is almost always seen through the lens of WDW here.

There are other boards (one in particular comes to mind :lookaroun) where every detail at DL is picked apart and criticized in its own right, to the same extent (or more!) that every little thing at WDW is hyper-analyzed here.

Basically, you don't have the hardcore DL base on this board, so you don't hear the vast majority of the fans' complaints about it.

Agreed...this is not really the place to go for DL related discussion. DL fans are very vocal because the park is home for a lot of them. With over 1 million AP holders the parks will always be held to a hire standard than WDW which caters to tourists. Unfortunate, but true.

Whinning? WHINNING?! We don't have no stinking whinning at Disney!!!!!

ok, ok... Once in a while, later in the evening, you may hear some child/adult that is tired whinning a little. But for the adult, they can remedy that whine with some wine.

:brick::brick::brick: is this thing on?:rolleyes:

I'm part of that tiny fraction that knows WDW inside out, and knows when something isn't "right". I expect perfection from WDW because I've seen it there before. It's disturbing to know it's not getting the love it deserves. Disneyland might be the original park, but WDW is Disney's bread and butter. More people walk through the turnstiles at those parks than any others in the world, and thus deserve to be treated well.

He was on Micechat.com and they were hyping it up so much that when he came back he told me about the lies....he felt the CMs there were not as friendly and that the food was average...he had fun but he likes DLR and WDW more

Yeah I can't imagine any Disney park outside of the U.S. feeling as Disney as our parks here. It doesn't matter if the rides and facades are great...I doubt CM around the world "get it".

I agree, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Since WDW is a once in a lifetime trip to most of its guests, or at least once in a decade, the visitors are so overwhelmed to be at Disney that they end up overlooking any flaws and slip ups. And I can honestly say I am one of those people, because going to Orlando is such an expensive and long trip that when I get there I am just grateful to be at WDW.

Sure, I complain here and there, but I end up ignoring it all once I am there because it is such a rare and anticipated trip. Therefore I just can't threaten Disney saying I am not spending money on their property anymore. It is not like I have an AP, or spend cash in their parks throughout the year. Sadly, WDW is not my backyard. :(

I wasn't aware one had to choose to be either of the two.
IMO, a real Disney fan loves both of them, despite their differences. And despite which one they visit more often.

I suppose then, I'd consider myself both a Walt Disney Worlder and a Disneylander.

I also consider myself a nice, thoughtful person..........so I won't bother to point out what a dumb and totally needless thread this is.
