Just looking over EVERYTHING released from D23 and wondering if i should wait until 2017 or go ahead with our September 2016 trip as planed?!?!?! Huge Star wars and Avatar fan so I am chomping at the bit for both ..... Just wondering what everyone else is thinking about time lines. Can only afford one more trip before the youngest goes off to college and then all trips on hold for a few years. Be interesting to hear everybody's thought's over these developments.

I'm thinking the same thing...I already put a deposit down on my 2016 vacation, but I'm re-thinking it. Not sure of the opening dates for the just-announced additions, but I am not a huge Avatar fan, so I think I can miss the opening year of that "land".

We will be waiting. Actually, we are going in a couple months for a week, but we are not getting park tickets, (room only), so by the time we go back in late 16 or maybe even 2017, it should have alot of new stuff to look at, and maybe the MILES of construction walls will be gone.

i have been going to WDW since April 1973 as a kid. Dad worked for GE and one of his perks was WDW tickets and discounts. My youngest was born in Southern California and has been to Disneyland a bunch. Took her to WDW last year in Feb. and she loved it. Made her a promise I would take her one day. Amazing how much has changed and how dated some of the parks are getting. Everything was under construction so I would like to take her back to see what it looks like with out construction walls!! Have trip planned late Sept. 2016 but now I am re-thinking. I do not have very much disposable income so one more trip will probably be it. She is very much into all things Disney. The debate is on in our house......

We already have an early December 2016 trip planned. But being younger, kids and about to purchase DVC hopefully soon, we'll be back pretty much every year to see changes.

Its nice to go experiencing newness in the parks, something exciting to look forward to makes the anticipation of a future trip greater. We were in a Disney void when DS was in his 4 HS years and it was a killer. So I'd go when I could go, in 2016 knowing youre facing a time when you wont be affording to take another trip for a while. No one knows when the projects will be done and for a while the new sites will be crazy mobbed. So I'd take advantage of the trip now while its available and not wait longer. Who knows what financial issues in the future youll be facing? Afford it now... go now......And once built the new sites will be there waiting for you and your trips post college years will be fully enjoyed even more.

Umm, not me. I go every year(twice if I can swing it). I love WDW, just being there, even if I do not go on 1 ride. I can walk around the parks and DTD all day. I like when they add new stuff but am happy with my Disney world the way it is. :D

We won't be cancelling our two trips for 2016 and I am sure the teenager is going to want to see SW Land when it opens o we will just go then too.

Considering Pandora-Avatar Land was announced initially in 2011 and isn't slated to open until 2017, I'm not cancelling or postponing any trips in anxious await of SW or TS thinking that they're opening anytime soon. The Fantasyland expansion alone took YEARS! That's a lot of time to save up for the next trip.

Why put off til tomorrow what you can do today! :D

These things won't be opening in 2017. Go ahead with your Sept 2016 trip.

We aren't going until 2020 - by then SWland should be open and between now and then our goal is to sell our condo, but a house (are first priority). If we go anywhere in FL it will be the Gulf or Keys in our family's Bluegreen Timeshare or rent a house and split the cost with friends or family who may join us.

We are going in 2017 just for Avatar. But I don't expect SW Land to be done for a while. We are pretty much planning a trip for the 50th anniversary & hoping that everything is completed by then.
