Whispering Canyon question

I remember the first time I ate here, it was completely by mistake, as in we missed a reservation and went here instead. The food was great and the staff was VERY entertaining. It was a chill laid back style where staff was allowed to poke fun at the customers and everyone had fun. Last time I went about a couple years ago, I noticed they obviously still yelled "Ketchup!" (funniest thing ever), but there were not much poking fun with customers. It seemed really dumbed down and also was kind of boring. Anyone know why that is?

We ate there once in 2012, there was no antics or "ketchup" yelling, we expected a fun atmosphere but it was just a regular restaurant to us. Food was good, so we might give it another shot!

We were just there on Dec. 10 and they were interacting with customers and yelling for ketchup. We had a wonderful waitress. I had never been and I was a little apprehensive from what I heard, but we all agreed it was by far the best time our family had. We will definitely go again!

When they pick up on the fact that people are trying to get an expected behavior, I think they're less likely to do it. It's just more fun to surprise and delight someone who didn't know it was coming.

My first trip, they brought me a giant thing. I was SO not expecting that. It was great.

I wish people wouldn't spread the word online. It would be more fun for the staff AND for the guests.

We did the "We need ketchup" thing because we had such a fun waiter! Must try the bottomless/endless milk shakes! The skillet AUCE was very good as well! The boys enjoyed riding the "hobby" horses. We had a fun time!:D

Ate there this past September and antics were definitely turned up to 11.
At one point I had to take a phone call (with a client accused of homicide). I left the table and walked to the window to talk. When I turned around I noticed that the entire restaurant was staring at me. Later I was told that one of the waitresses had gone from table to table to loudly whisper, "SSSSSSH, He's on the PHONE!!"

I was there in July. They had one patron eating with the "jail cell," one was mocked for talking on her cell phone, one waitress sang "Happy Birthday" then ate the cupcake and walked away. They did the ketchup thing and had random patrons deliver every bottle in the room to one table. Our waiter threw straws at us.

The food is fantastic, and my favorite all you can eat in Disney.

We ate there in September after skipping a few years, and everything was the same as it was the last time we were there. Ketchup, horse rides, fun wait staff. Lots of fun.

We were there in September and it was great! Our server was great teasing my 5 year old grandson and interacting with him. He also swung my 27 year old daughters chair into the table next to ours so she could meet the young men there! It was hilarious. Would not miss this onour next trip.

Sad news.

The dinner platter no longer includes dessert. Instead they've gone back to that salad with the really sweet dressing and bleu cheese crumbles. It's ok, but the dessert sampler (with the cheesecake, fruit cobbler, and chocolate cake) was much better. It's a very disappointing change.

We were just there for the first time a few weeks ago. It was way more subdued than I was expecting. Not loud or crazy at all. My boyfriend thought it was the best meal of the trip. I loved the cheesecake.

I can tell you EXACTLY what happened - and the good news? It's been corrected.

WC got stuck with a bad manager that wanted to de-emphasize the antics. That manager did not last long. Everything is back to where it SHOULD be, with GREAT management.
Yeah, I agree here, we were there in September and it was nice to see things back to normal. Our server had a little bit of fun with us, which was perfect for me, I'm not a huge fan of it going overboard with us, but it is funny to watch when its happening to someone else.

The fruit cobbler was so good- I could have eaten the whole thing instead of the meal!

Had lunch there on 12/12/13. Staff was very good, entertaining as always. No hobby horse rides while there - there were only about 4 youngsters in WC. Ketchup moving in great masses to various tables.
Was greatly toned up above last year.

We ate there in November 2012 when we stayed at WL, and there were lots of antics going on. We were with our 13 month old, and weren't as involved in it with our baby, but we enjoyed watching all of it!
