Staying at WL in October and was wondering which would be better at the Whispering Canyon: Breakfast or dinner. Especially would like to hear from those who have done both. Where is the beach at the resort. Lastly, is a courtyard view a pool view as well? If so can you here noise from the pool. Thanks:wave:

I have done both dinner and breakfast at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Dinner was a crowded affair, breakfast was somewhat not as crowded. I guess not everyone likes a early breakfast (8:00 a.m.) Both meals were great especially the skillet b-b-q and the skillet breakfast. It seemed their was more interaction with the servers during the breakfast meal. Have a great time, October is a good time to visit the world. I will be there the day after Thanksgiving!!! Hoo-Ray!!! ( I'm not sure there is a beach area? And on your room choice being courtyard or pool view, sorry.) I stay at Fort Wilderness.

I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner there but I have to say breakfast is our favorite! Don't go if you like quiet in the morning though. :lookaroun And go hungry.

The courtyard view we have stayed in had a view of the quiet pool and the villas. Very nice and quiet, but then we were on the 6th floor. My BIL stayed on the first floor, right off of the pool and he said it was fine.

We did lunch and enjoyed it. I guess it depends if you're doing the dining plan. If you already have some breakfasts booked, maybe do dinner there. Dinners are generally more for your $ on the dining plan, though the ocassional breakfast is nice.

If you're paying out of pocket and like the dinner menu, maybe try for lunch as it seems to be similar but for less $$. Good luck!

Also, it sounds like you plan on staying there. If this is the case, I guess it also depends on your itinerary/touring style. If you are someone who will come back to the hotel mid-day, then a dinner or lunch might be good. But if you're someone who likes to be in the parks from open to close, you may wanna consider doing a breakfast before you get to the parks.

I have done all three meals there and breakfast is the best. The cast and the guests seem to get a bit more rowdy in the morning.
Agreed. I have done all three and I enjoyed breakfast the most. However, dinner was not too bad either. I have also had a courtyard view room and the noise was not that bad. I was a little higher up though and our room was closer to the main building as opposed to closer to the pool.
