by what criteria? If my perusal of the morning paper serves me correctly, Atlanta and Oakland have tied for the most wins over the last 4 regular seasons, with the mighty Yankees finishing one game behind.

Granted, the Bombers' recent postseason fortunes have been better than those of the A's or my Bravos, but it didn't get them anything the past two seasons, so what exactly makes them *always* the best team?

(OK, stepping out of argumentative mode now...) :)

26 World Series Championships. The Yankees can't be that bad! Not to mention that Atlanta and Oakland already lost, so therefore, the next best team would logically be the Yanks!

So if past success is the yardstick, the Boston Celtics would *always* be the best team anytime they make the NBA Playoffs. :p

(I'm just messin' with ya, of course; going by the numbers, they're obviously the best team left at this point. It's just that "always" that got my juices going.) ;)

The Celtics could be a better team if they had the ability to buy themselves a team, as the Yanks do. Some people consider it cheating, but when great players want to play for your team you just can't help but pay them to do so. The Celtics have lost their appeal, and therefore can't get a team to win.

I like the Yanks because my dad and little bro love them. I'm from CT, and we are required to like them because we have no team of our own. I personally would much rather watch a college basketball game. Much more exciting to me!

But when it comes to the World Series, GO YANKS!!!
