Which would you choose?

Cool Thanks everyone for your humble opinions. I think that I have chosen wisely too. I will just have to have a garage sale or something to make up for the extra spending money. :) My B-day is in June and I have asked my family for Disney Dollars so that should give me some extra cash. Whoo Hoo!:sohappy:

Very good idea! That should help with the extra spending money you'd have had if going with POP. Hope you have a magical trip and be sure to tell us about how your husband likes it!

Thanks guys. I feel better about my choice. :animwink: Actually we dont get to go to DisneyWorld frequently it is actually my husbands first time ever. He said I could choose where I wanted to stay and I chose POR but recently was feeling a little selfish thinking of all the extra spending money we could have had had we picked Pop. I think you are right TubaGeek if you are going to Disney do it right. Who knows when we will be able to be back again so now I am not regretting my decision. :sohappy:

Always glad to be of assistance.

You bet! We can't wait to go. For me it's almost like taking your kids for the first time. I hope he has a wonderful time, so much so that he decides he must visit at least once a year!!:D Wouldn't that be great?

If you were going in the middle of July would you spend the extra money to stay at POR or would you for go the ambiance and quiet for having the extra spending money and stay at Pop with all the kids and noise that comes with them? Which would you choose?

The price difference between a Mod & a Value is about $ 50/day. So, how long are you staying? A full week? $350 will pay for a night at V&A. Or a nice meal somewhere in the WS in Epcot & a night out on PI. Do you have kids? Kids will have more fun around other kids. POP is the largest resort on property. If you're worried about noise tell the desk clerk you want the lake side of BLDG 7, BLDG 6 or BLDG 2. I've stayed in all three & their about a quite as you can get at POP. Besides, in July kids will be at every resort & just as noisy at POR & GF as POP. Only difference in noise levels will be total number of kids. POR is about 800 rooms smaller that POP. POFQ is the smallest Mod on property & only has one pool. Should have fewer kids.

Most improtant is to have a good time & get a picture of the hubby with Mickey ears.

I think you chose well!

I usually stay off-site, and I'm way more excited to go to Disney this summer because we'll be at the Polynesian. It's just nicer the higher up you get w/the resorts because you're more "in the middle" of Disney at all times.

Were staying at the POP again, just because when we take our kids, and spend most of the time at the parks, its really hard to justify budgeting the well over $600 - $700 more it would have cost to stay in a moderate when we go in August. If it was just me and my wife, with no kids, we might think about one of the moderate resorts because we may sit around the resort a bit more.

Animal Kingdom Lodge isn't exactly in the "middle" of things. The All Stars are closer to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. the Poly is Closer to the Magic Kingdom though. The "Higher Up" you go has nothing to do with location as a whole.

How nice. Wish we could afford to stay at the Poly. I hope you have a fabulous time. To answer you ? WTBAD we are going alone, no kids. It's my Christmas/Anniversary present. It would save us a little over 500 acutally if we stayed at Pop.
