Which park icon would you alter/remove? MINE is def. the hat at MGM!!! It ruins the theming of Hollywood Blvd., not to mention covers the BEATIFUL G. Theater - you can't even get a picture of it anymore! It was the perfect "castle" for the Hollywood "main street!"

The wand (imo) gives Spaceship Earth more personality... :lookaroun

I say remove both the wand and relocate the hat to the Animation Courtyard. The hat has kinda become the Studios' main emblem, displacing the Earful Tower. By removing the hat to someplace else, we can still have our emblem without hindering the view of the Chinese Theater.

I know, I know. I liked Epcot so much more with its original slew of classic attractions when I was ages 5-16ish. MS and TT now, ughh!!

Pre 2000, I never looked at SSE and thought it looked empty, or bad, or dull. Contrary, it looked amazing! Then they put the wand up, and I remember thinking it did not look that bad. Then it looked even neater at night. Maybe I've learned to accept the change.

I will say that during the day it looks tacky, but I really like it at night!

On the other hand, the Hat ruins the ambiance of H'wood Blvd at any time of day. Especially during Christmastime. The street looked so much better with both the theatre and street decorated.

I say tear the wand to shreds. It looks terrible. However, I'm also in for moving the hat. Its not a bad thing, its just in a terrible location. Move it to the front of the park in front of the enterance.

To put my two cents in, I pretty much agree with everyone who thinks the wand should be destroyed and the hat moved to a more appropriate location giving back a terrific view of the theatre.... on a much smaller scale, I would gut the pooh ride over at MK and reinstall mr. toad on a more technologically advanced scale... long live mr. toad!! :sohappy:

Get rid of the wand and move the hat, seriously, there's something about that wand that just hinders the effect of SSE's awesome symmetry. The hat, well, it's not that I don't like it, but as others said, you can't even see the chinese theater anymore, which is a great symbol in its own right.

I totally agree besides nothing a Disney is bad(except that they got rid of Tarzan Rocks) so why r we picking at things like the trademarks its like saying the tree of life is too green or the castle is too royal if it weren't for those things epcot wouldn't be epcot mgm wouldn't be mgm(holy crap that was a long sentance). I think the only thing that matters at disney is the fact that ur having fun. So yeah thats what i have to say if u have a problem with it them my name is frank and i live in Hong Kong:lookaroun

Its sad to see people give in to crap put in that was either supposed to be temporary or a hat that blocks a perfect symbol, and only has a shop under it. And also ruins the theme. I mean its just a hat made of metal and some corrupted businessman's arm. The wand needs to go and the hat doesn't need to be moved it needs to be imploded. I was so glad to hear a CM say recently that Siemens wants to take the wand down.

I don't care about the hat or the wand. Whatever. What I'd like to see them replace is the Animal Kingdom icon. Instead of a boring old tree, I'd like to see a Mickey Mouse statue as big as the Statue of Liberty. You could have a skyway-type ride or the monorail going through his ears. His tongue could be real long and be used as a slide. Like Big Tex as the Texas State Fair in Dallas, hook up a P.A. system inside him and allow guests to talk to everyone in the park through Giant Mickey. That would be fun!
