pure, simple, wholesome family fun...little kids love being able to drive their own car...parents love the looks on their chiildren's faces while they get to drive their own car...

yeah...guess it doesn't fit.

I don't think the fact that people and kids enjoy the ride is enough to make it fit. It would be like placing Space Mountain on Frontierland and saying it fits there because it is a great coaster with high popularity.

Yeah it doesn't fit the theme TL in any way and none of that is relevent when we are talking about fitting the theme.

your post said it didn't fit in WDW....it did not say TL. That is why i questioned your post.

Exactly we are talking about theme and fitting in the area that it is placed in this thread. To quote the Borg popularity is irrelevant.

ok...i agree with you then. but I definitely still think the idea of the speedway still fits within WDW.

As do I and to make it fit in TL all the have to do is update the queue and update the cars

My idea for the speedway would be

The TL Speedway will now be called The Highway to Tomorrow Land. It is the best way to travel from the land of Fantasy to the land of Tomorrow!

The queue would be rethemed to look like a Futuristic rest stop on the highway. Most of it would be covered and on the walls would be maps and futuristic advertise ments.

There would be a huge futuristic forced perspective city scape in the distance that is the city of Tomorrow.

The cars would all be electric and made to look futuristic. The land scape would be updated with futuristic shrubbery. Also there would be bill road and exit signs with some of them saying Exit 74 Frontier land.

There would be billboards through out the ride with futuristic advirtisements and for the attractions in TL. For example on could be for a performance by Sunny Eclipse or for the Astro Orbiter.

Then there would be sensors throughout the ride when the cars past over them it would trigger the radio. It would play music, and advirtisements.

"Once you arrive in TL please use the Tomorrow Land Transit Athority's one of kind transportation system the People Mover."

"Need to depart the planet in a hurry? Come aboard Starbase 75's Space Mountain and blast off to any detsination in this galaxy or the next"

"Space is a dangerous place thats why TL is protected by the Space Rangers. Enlist in the Space Ranger's and help Buzz Lightyear defend the Galxky from the evil Emperor Zurg"

"Before your jorney home from TL be sure to stop by Mickey's Star Traders for that last minute TL gift"

When you exit the ride you would be directed towards TL.

I think personally that Dino Rama doesn't fit into the whole Disney theme. I mean don't get me wrong the imagineers tried to tie it in saying that Chester and Hester opened it up, but in the end it is just a cheap carnival like addition that can be experienced anywhere else.
:)

But that's just my opinion.

I will agree. A clever storyline does not turn that hideous area into a good fit for WDW. It totally clashes with the rest of AK.

I hate C&H but no matter how cheesey it is it does fit the theme of where it has been placed imo.

Alladin in Adventureland.

Desert in a tropical/polynesian/jungle area. A cartoon style planted right in the middle of a 'realistic' environment.

Barking mad. :hammer:

Excellent point, what a stupid ride, I hope they do get rid of that and turn it into the second Dumbo ride, I want my Adventureland back!!!

Not sure why Splash Mountain is on there. It certainly has that southern charm to it and doesn't seem out of place in Frontierland

While not a huge thing I added it because it is a little out of place. The American SOuth from Song of the South is no where near the American Frontier.
