I've only stayed at POFQ and POR, so I can only vouche for those two. I prefer POFQ because it's smaller and everything you need is a quick walk away. POR is too spread out for me.

I'd say POR (Dixie Landings) because I think it has the best themeing and it feels more relaxing and comfortable than the other resorts I can remember staying at. But I haven't stayed at the other Moderates in quite some time so my opinion could be different if I stayed at them recently.

Ive said it before and I will say it again....POR. POR gives you the deluxe feel at the Mod price. There was at por thread on here a couple days ago with lots of opinions. Try a search.

I've only stayed at POFQ and have not desire to stay at any other mod resort. At around 1000 rooms, FQ is the smallest mod. I've stayed there in the middle of June & the week before Christmas. Both times the hotel was near to being full, but noise was never a problem. While the FC is on the small side, we never had a problem finding a table or having to wait on service. FQ is the first stop on the bus route, so your first on & first off when sharing with Riverside. The only problem I had was with housekeeping. Rooms should have been cleaned better.

I like CB when I am going to relax - nothing beats the hammocks on the beach. However, I have grown to love CS, being able to get a pitcher of Dos Equis from the tap does it in for me. It's the most beer you can get for $12 on property. I also think the pepper grill is the best counter service out of the moderates.

I'd go with Carribean. It's the oldest, but it's also the most centrally located.

Being over at Port Orleans just seems too far away from the parks. You almost might as well be in the non-disney owned hotels on the other side of Downtown Disney.

And I'm just not a big Southwest fan,

I have stayed at both POR and CB. They are both great, but if I had to pick one, it would be POR. The mansion rooms are great and I love the fact that you can take a great boat ride to the Marketplace!
Both resorts have great food, music and themes!

We liked Coronado Springs. It was very spread out which we thought made it a bit private. The main pool was very cool. And we loved to food court.

another vote for Coronado Springs. I like the fact it has a workout area, something the others don't. I also think the resort is beautiful and it is newer than the others. The surcharge on the food court is a sticking point, but I don't much eat at any of the moderates so that isn't a big deal for me. When I did eat at CS, the food was quite good, but expensive. So what isn't expensive at WDW?

I didn't metion the swimming pool, with its jaguar slide and hot tub, but it i really nice and ver well done.

Port Orleans!!
I definitely think that the Disney boat transportation to Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island is a big plus, especially if you are going as a big group as everyone can have please themselves. I think PO is quite well located, probably better than Coronado Springs as that is right in the AK corner, relying on buses only.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week at POFQ. It's not as sprawled out as some of the other locations. Everything is relatively close by. And the bignets are fantastic for breakfast!!! :slurp:

The rooms are comfortable and spacious. At night it looks really cool, and it's peaceful. Got some of my best sleep at that hotel. :snore:
