Which is the main building of AKL

AKL doesn't have a "main" building. JH is one building with its own lobby and amenities. While, KV is another building with its own lobby and amenities. They are really 2 separate resorts that share buses under one large name. It's kinda like PORS and POFQ.

Well, they have DVC in both buildings. KV is the main building for it, but JH does have some rooms.

Im sure the rooms in Jambo are no longer offered to those staying on points now that Kidanni is fully open. And it is just one big long curved building.

False. DVC still has villas in Jambo available to members; they weren't just temporary.
Jambo is the "main" building at AKL, Kidani is the DVC building.

I have just checked and on the DVC page only concierge and Grand Villas are shown as available in Jambo.
Also when I stayed in nov/dec I was told that Jambo was no longer offered. :shrug:
But hey ho, perhaps they are the usuall inventory every DVC resort has that is available for non point users. A bit like my treehouse stay this trip, cant stay on points no avilability but amzing flash the cash and Ive got a gaff for my whole stay.

Availability is everything in this case. JH still has all of it's DVC rooms intact. Since there are not many rooms available on the 2 DVC floors they tend to go fast. The rooms available to CRO for cash stays tend to be a little easier to get at latet times.
We like to stay in the JH on points, but it is not our home resort. I book at 7 months out and usually go on a waiting list. Sometimes we get in and sometimes we do not.

Hi there Jambo House is the Main Building. Kidini Village is the Time Share Building.
Boma is located at Jambo House Animal Kingdom Lodge is what is was named in the beginning before the Kidini Village was built.
Boma is really good during breakfast time. You can also go to "The Mara" for a quick bite to eat, but it can get crowded inside there.

JH is the original building, and may still be considered the main building, but that is a bit of a misnomer. Both KV and JH are large single building hotels. Both have restaurants, pools, lobbies, bus stops, and gift shops.
Main building makes it sound like a large facility with satellites like Saratoga Springs or Old Key West which is inaccurate.
KV is probably the better choice at the moment because it is less than a year old.

You may not have a choice. If the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas are their home resort then you will most likely be staying the the jambo House. If their home reort is Animal Kingdom Villas then you will most likely be staying at Kidani Village.
I personally like the Jambo house, but I have never been inside Kidani since it opened to have an opinion.

I would definately agree then. Kidani has not sold out as of yet , so that make it easier to book. JH is tough to book.
You will enjoy it no matter which resort you are in.
