Need more info. How many people? Mears is $26 or $28 round trip per person and may stop at other hotels each way.

A taxi or town car is a set price. The town car service I use is $80 RT for up to 4 people. That is less than Mears would cost for 4 people.

The taxi or town car only makes one stop, yours.:D

well I would check out some taxi prices, I haven't used mears, we used Tiffanys Town Car. Very nice. I have heard people grumble about the multi stops by mears. I would splurge if it weren't too much more for a taxi just to get there quickly and easily.

Thats easy Mears. We fly to disney all the time and were from Miami:) (we like to be pampered). We take the mears bus from the airport sometimes it makes multiple stops but sometimes it takes u straight to ur hotel. If ur staying at disney resorts they give u a three dollars of coupon so it cost 25 round trip per person. I have never tried taking a cab from the airport before but once my friends took a cab from Universal Studios to the Coronado Springs and they+ paid 40 dollars one way. I was like thats what u get for going to Universal. hee hee

Hey Goofy, I tend to agree with my fellow posters. If time is not too much of an issue, Id go with Mears. The busses are fine for me in most cases, but they can and do make multiple stops. Once I was in for a longer ride than I thought I would be, it took an hour and a half to get to my hotel!!! The driver kinda went to longest way around I think, but this just illustrates that time cant be a factor if you are going with Mears. Belle

Most of the Town Car services have a $5 off coupon you can print off the web. So point to point is $80 RT plus tip or with the Mears $3 off coupon $50 plus tip.

I would pay the extra $30. The driver meets you in baggage claim and from the time you get your bag to the hotel is less than 30 minutes unless you want to make a grocery stop at no extra charge.

Mears scares me going back. If they make lots of stops you could miss your plane which would cost a lot more than the extra $30 for the town car.

There are lots of threads on the subject. Just do a search.

Enjoy your WDW vacation.:D

Hey Becky, Mears will guarantee you will not miss your plane. However the catch to that is that they will insist on picking you up three hours prior to your planes departure!!!! So once again time really becomes the critical factor!! Belle

Hum, my return flight is usually before 8 so hum 5 a.m. or earlier pick up:eek: I'll pay the $30:D

Since I have an AP I wouldn't want to spend an hour and a half on the way to WDW like you did:( Of course that probably doesn't happen often.

The guarantee is useful info for decision making. The more info the more informed the choice is:cool:

Now if I can only get a DoD job so I can stay at SoG:D

We took Mears once -- after waiting 45 minutes at MCO for bus to our resort to get there (and watching a a multitude of buses leave for other WDW resorts) and another hour bus ride stopping at two other resorts -- never again!

For a family of four it absolutely makes perfect sense to use the town car/limo service. You get there much quicker and it is a pleasant experience.

If my wife and I were going alone (like the kids would allow that) it would be worth the extra $$ for the town car.

Taxi From the Boardwalk to Western Edge of Celebration about 6 or 7 miles. Just under 20 dollars.

Airport to Disney is about 22 miles or so. So figure 50 to 60 dollars plus tip. More if you get caught in traffic jams or redlights.

Hey Goofy, Yes Mears is $28.00 per person for a round trip ticket. they are slightly higher than that if you buy 2 one way tickets, though. As far as Yourride, I Am not sure if they are a taxi or a towncar kind of thing, but it is a private car with only your party in it, so it will go directly to your destinations and you wont have to worry about other stops!! Hope this helps....Belle
