Which Disney Resort for one night...

Yip this old thread again...

I want to book a night for my wife and I for our wedding anniversary and currently we're looking at the following:

The Swan or The Dolphin, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge. Your thoughts?

Basically because it's only one night I would prefer if there were things we could do at the resort or near it.

Yip.

I have a house out in Davenport so we're just looking at some place that me and the wife can go to and granny and grandad can't look after our little girl.

We love the WL and that would be my #1 pick but given how you would like to be near other things I would go for the Swaw or Dolphin. Walk to Epcot, Boat to HS and all the stuff on the boardwalk...cant go wrong!!

How much do you want to spend and what do you want to do that evening? I think staying at an Epcot resort is the way to go. I'd probably choose a concierge level at the Beach Club so you could enjoy World Showcase in the evening along with the lounge during the other parts of the day.

I agree. For 2 adults & 1 night, any of the Epcot Resorts would be the way to go. A relatively easy walk to the most "adult" sections of WDW: the Boardwalk and Epcot's World Showcase.

I would go for either the Boardwalk or the Beach Club. I think the swan and dolphin are a little less romantic.. but, that's just me. (Woman's perspective)

I also agree with the Boardwalk or Beach Club suggestions. There is so much to do on the Boardwalk and the convenience to both Epcot and HS is fantastic! You could have dinner at Yachtsman or Flying Fish. Sounds lovely!!

Yet Another...

Yet another vote for Beach Club/Boardwalk. Love both of these resorts and think they are both romantic. Walking distance to Epcot is a huge plus and food options are great for adults.

Enjoy!:D

I agree, Boardwalk & Beach Club are "more romantic" if money is no object but Swan & Dolphin are usually half the price. (The Boardwalk Inn is my favorite.) I appreciate your perspective but my DW hates spending too much and thinks it's more "romantic" to stay twice as long for the same price. At least, that's what she tells me! :)

I would want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. The Artist's Point restraunt is amazing. There are beautiful grounds to walk around for a romantic stroll. You could also cuddle up on the beach at night and watch the Electric boat parade. Have fun!

Well I ended up going for the Swan. Really we're just using the resort to touch base as we'll be going either into Epcot later at night or heading round Boardwalk.

I would love to stay at either the Beach Club or Boardwalk but I just couldn't justify paying the prices they were looking for for one night. The way I figure it is the Swan is almost the same location (granted it doesn't have the same themes).

Now it's on to somewhere to book a table...
