I remember seeing a website a LONG time ago that had information about how crowded the parks are on certain days and that each park is open till a different time different days. Can you please help me out and let me know what website that is or if you know off the top of your head, which day is best to visit each park. I want to develop an itinerary for our trip.
We leave on a Monday (Jan 6th and come back on a Sunday (Jan 12th) So Monday and Sunday we will probably travel. So Tuesday through Saturday we will be in Orlando. Which days should we do which parks? Thank you soo much.

In all honesty, at that time of year, I wouldn't be too concerned with which day you went. That being said, I would definitely check out fireworks, shows, parade schedules to decide what days to go where. In the less busy times of the year, fireworks and such don't happen every night. Also, most people consider early entry schedules too. Two trains of thought there...1) go to park with early entry on early entry day or 2) avoid park on early entry day because it tends to be busier since tons of people go on early entry day. I know this isn't the exact answer to your question, but its what I usually consider when making an itinerary.

It really depends on what you want to do and such.. but in general, weeks and certain days are busy, at all of the parks, you know?

But.. aside from sudden busy weeks or days.. Monday is Magic Kingdom day for everyone who flew in over the weekend. Then, on Tuesday they goto Epcot. Rest of the week? Iffy, but Friday is busy at all of the parks.

So, pick a park that handles high crowds well on Friday (aka: Not Magic Kingdom).

Strange tactic, but it tends to work well, is to reverse your schedule in your mind. Like i said, everyone wants to goto MK first, so save it for last. Start with Animal Kingdom, most people's "last" park if at all.

In early january, it can be bitterly cold and windy at the parks. Make sure you have a lightweight sweater you can take off incase it does heat-up by midday. You may be tempted to wear shorts, but if it's blustery, you'll appreciate having worn lightweight pants.

I froze to death on my trip to Epcot in January. The mist from the Fountain of Nations felt like snow falling.

Honestly speaking, you want to look at the hours (especially if you do not have an Annual or Seasonal Pass). With an annual pass, you can go for a few hours and not feel like you wasted your money, unlike a Park hopper that makes you feel like you wasted your money if you do not spend several hours there.

Here is a list of the parks and the best days to visit most times of the year (Special Holidays like Christmas/New Years and 4th of July are exceptions)

Magic Kingdom - Try to stick to Saturdays when they have the longest hours and have both the parade and fireworks.

EPCOT - Pick any day you have left, it is open until at least 9 PM every day and has the parade and Illuminations every day.

Disney MGM Studios - This is a good park to do in half a day with AK if your time is limited, otherwise, try to pick a Friday night or a night when they have two Fantasmic shows. Since Fantasmic runs every night, any night will do.

Animal Kingdom - Pick the day they open earliest or close the latest. The best time to go on the Safari is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. This can be a half day park with MGM if your time is limited. The other day we went there for 3 1/2 hours and saw It's Tough to Be a Bug, Dinosaur, The Jungle Trek, Kali River Rapids, The Safari, and The Jungle Parade. You should not miss the Lion King Show.

Tuesday thru Saturday...OK let's see. I do agree with everyone else to check out the parade times, show times etc. Certainly jot those down when they are available! I usually plan my dinners and night time activities around them I would say avoid Magic Kingdom on the weekends though. I find them to be VERY Crowded then. I would definitely do MGM during a weekday between 9 and 5 pm for the Animation Tour as you can see the animators hard at work if you go on a weekend, they arent there!! Definitely dont miss Fantasmic though. Saturday night check out if they are going to have Spectromagic and/or Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks. If anything , do another park during the day and swing by just for that. As previously stated, this is NOT something that happens every night, unlike MGM or EPCOT. Hope this helped! Belle
