Our family really enjoyed All Star Movies. When we go now tho we stay at Pop Century. We haven't stayed at the other two All Stars so I can't comment on those.

I've stayed at Pop, Music and Movies in the value category I will always prefer Pop to any of the ASR. That said, if I have to vote for a ASR, Music gets my vote. It seemed quieter and a bit slower paced compared to Movies. I felt like I could relax more once I got back to the resort after a day at the parks when compared to my stay at Movies.

In the Parks
Yes
Ive stayed at POP and All Star Sports and this year Im staying at Music. I liked Sports because I enjoyed throwing the stitch football around on the mini football field they have there. I would honestly stay there again just for that!

Pop was okay they were both pretty much the same from what I can remember.

My goal is to stay at every hotel on property! So far Ive done 3 and after this trip it will be 4! I figure Ill get the little ones out of the way while Im poor, but when Im ballin' full time at UPS I will stay at the delux resorts! :D

As a battle-hardened veteran of every Value resort, All-Star Music is the favourite. It has Summer pool entertainment, avoids much of the Pop Warner crowd (though it still gets some Brazilians) and is the most sedate and relaxed of the three resorts. Pop is nice, but Music is nicer.

Pop simply because it has its own bus. However, saying that Pop is less crowded while waiting for a bus then All Star is like looking for salt in a sugar bag with boxing gloves on. Either one is pretty much fruitless.

At this point with hotel prices being so much lower outside the property and rental cars being cheap, you can either break even by staying off property or even save some cash. However, the non-Disney feel is something I haven't been able to overcome and haven't gone that route for quite some time now. I think in the end Disney is going to get your money, even if they are charging you over $100/night for a motel-eque room.

We have stayed at all three All Stars and Pop several times. Pop, to me, seems noisier when inside the room - you can hear slamming doors and activity in the next room. There are lots of things we like about Pop, it just seems noisy. Of the All-Stars we enjoy Movies the most. If you can get in the Toy Story section then that's ideal. That area is closer to the main building (food court, front desk, and merchandising). Music and Sports are just as nice, but depending on what events are going on with music and sporting tournaments it can be louder because of the teams or groups. If an event is ongoing then there is always more than one school or team/group participating meaning there will be lots more young adults around. Request a quieter area. You can see that we are into peaceful/relaxing times when we go to WDW, eh? Have fun!

Of the All-Stars we have only stayed in Movies. Once in the Toy Story section, once in 101 Dalmatians. Both times we stayed there (during late March, early April) we never had to share a bus with the other two.

We walked around the other two All-Stars. We liked Movies best due to the theming.

If it doesn't make any difference to you, stay at Sports. Its usually the last resort people choose, so it's last to fillup & its first on the bus route. More likely to get a seat going to the parks & first to get off if you have to stand.

I once saw a young girl at WDW who was asked by someone,
"Where did you get that mug?".

She replied with so much sincerity, pure joy, pride, and bliss and happiness, as though it were her supreme place in the world,
"All Star Music !".

Just the way she said it made you want to stay there.

I like Music the best, followed by Movies and then Sports. There's a big dropoff between Movies & Sports, I think. That's based on personal experiences. Maybe some would enjoy it more than I did.

We stayed at Music because I read more comments about that being quieter. We've been to Disney twice since then and both times my daughter wanted to switch to ASMu. We thought the busses were horrible- long lines, always packed, never enough of them. We're staying at Pop in December because I know she'll enjoy the icons and I am hoping the busses are decent. If I had to stay at an All Star again I would definitely pick Music.

I have stayed at all 4 values. It depends on the people with you. When I used to bring my godson (he was between 4-8 at the times we went), he loved the movies followed by sports. He liked movies more, but knew that sports had the better seats for the buses.

Before bringing him, adults only, we preferred Music - as it was quieter.

My 3 YO DD has been to sports, because of the buses and wanting a seat when holding a 10 mo old. Then at 22 mos, we went to POP, because she loved bowling pins. Now, POP is it, we haven't moved! Havnig the bus for the individual resort works out better with a carriage. We can let people go ahead of us and wait for the next bus and be assured a seat - where as you can't be assured of a seat when you are bus stop two or three at AS.

We had a group with us one year that was staying in Movies, but was in the Mighty Ducks, and found it was easier to walk over to the Music just to get the bus. That's also something to consider with adults. I think it's too much with kids though.

Which themes at sports are standard view?

Surf's Up (buildings #1 and #6) are preferred

Hoops Hotel (buildings #2 and #3), Center Court (buildings #4 and #5), Touchdown (buildings #7 and #10) and Home Run Hotel (buildings #8 and #9) are all standards. Here is a map for you to look at:

I'd have to agree. I've stayed at AS Sports twice and each time I've gone there's been issues with our room. I thought Music was the best out of the 3, followed by Movies, then Sports. But like you said big drop-off between 2 and 3.
