Wheres my coupon code?

A few people I know has gotten some kind of code from Disney.. But not me.

Is there a place to call to see if your on somekind of mailing list or a coupon waiting for you.. I thought i read something about this before i just cant remember.

So does anyone know?

You can call the central reservation line and ask if their are any PIN codes for your household. PIN codes are not sent out to everyone. We didn't get the PIN others got for up to 40% off, but we got one for ticket upgrades on a package purchase. Unfortunately, its no good for us since it expires 10 days before we arrive, and we are AP holders and don't need a package.

I have never recv'd one either and yet my Brother gets one every year and sometimes twice. There is no rhyme or reason to this. I have signed up for everything filled out every survey and I even asked when I make reservations and still i get nothing.

Just called to inquire about a pin code for my household... The gentleman that answered the phone was very helpful... He said that the pin codes were sent out by 'marketing' and that I did not have one attached to my phone number.

He asked me about my arrival date for my upcoming trip however b/c he was going to try and work any additional 'pin code' discount possible, but unfortunately my trip is in a blockout timeframe for the pin codes and it wouldn't apply even if I had been sent one originally.

It was worth calling to see though..

I kept hearing about those coveted PIN's myself. We have been going to years and nothing.

Then suddenly, Feb 6, one shows up! It's address to my husband, it was for 40% off, during a time we always go.

I emailed the folks at KK and asked if this would apply to me, and sure enough it did! I booked before I could even talk to my husband.

I am not sure why he got it, we always book the trip under my name, but the code was in his name.

And to the poster above they wouldnt even look for any additional discounts.
What dates were they anyways.

Yeah, tell me about it. I could sooooo use a PIN but haven't gotten one. That's okay, though. I'm trying to be positive and keep believing that my good luck and karma are being saved up for something better...liiiiike...a winning lottery ticket...or a big YOAMD prize...or maybe not getting hit by a big truck the next time I'm driving down the highway... :lol:

I called up and they had a room only code on mine....boy was it pointless.

I tried pricing out my current AAA booking(obviously without the AAA discount) and asked for the Poly. The only room the code worked for was the vice presidential suite-club level! :lol:

So I priced out my previous choice with Contemp. and it still came out higher than my AAA booking was. My guess is the discount was 10% off. Maybe I will try again later in the year when they are a bit more desperate to fill up the rooms.

My sister, who has never been to Disney, gets one every year...she even gets discounts for the Disney cruise. Now me, someone who is in their computer many times, has never gotten one. My sister got her latest 2 weeks before our last trip and I called to use it and when they punched it in it was not in my name so I couldn't use it. If she was going with me, they could have applied it. It was a 30% so it would really have made a dent...I was going to use it to upgrade our room and pay the same price. WAH WAH. My guess is that they WANT my sister to go so they are offering her a discount. Me, never get one. My husband thinks it is beacuse I always go so they know I will keep going so why send me one? But then I hear that others go all the time and get one so there goes my husbands reason.:wave: I guess it is random...never my luck! :(

I did the math and it was 15% off so its the same as AAA for a deluxe. No point for me, especially when they restrict you to Ambassador suites at Club level ;)

Have been to Disney more than 45 times, have only gotten a postcard coupon ONCE, about halfway into my Disney trip madness, maybe after 20 trips. It was only good at the Polynesian, so we used it for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. It was years ago, but was priced about the same as a moderate, so was a great discount. I've been an AP holder for about the last five years, so maybe that is why I no longer get them.

You know, we used to get them many years ago. At that time, we probably went once every 3 or 4 years. Now we go every year, maybe even twice and no dice. It's almost like they do it to get you hooked and then stop. I always say WDW is like a drug dealer! :lol:

Someone else mentioned that marketing is in charge of it. If so, I wonder if it's completely random or based on some sort of demographic. Like if I need to move to Oklahoma to get one, I'll do it!

For our 2006 trip, there were originally 4 of us going. I was the only one out of that group that went. Earlier this month, one of those that didn't go got a code in my mailbox. I was kind of ticked, but I figure they know I am coming back. Still, I would be able to go more often if I got a code every once in awhile.
