Where to watch the game?

We are heading to WDW :sohappy: in 38 days. I do have a question about where we should go to watch OU vs. K-state football game. I know the obvious answer is the ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk. However, I have small children and I just don't know how long they would last there.

I guess that they can go out and play on the Boardwalk or go back to the hotel. Is there a place in Downtown Disney where I could watch the game? We won't be going into the parks until Sunday, since we will not arrive at our hotel until early afternoon.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hmm...since it isn't a game that may be on everywhere, I would say that ESPN may be about the only place that you can go to watch it. If it on a weekend then the All Star Cafe may be worth a shot.

The game is on a weekend (Saturday). It is supposedly a nation wide game on ABC. I have never been to the All-Star Cafe. Is the atmosphere fun for children?

I am leaning towards the ESPN Zone, unless I can find a place in Downtown Disney. Thanks.

Can't help you with your question, but just wanted to let you know that I was just looking up the definition of a "Sooner". My mother & I were in OKC over the weekend for a family renunion & my daughter asked me to bring her back an OU sweatshirt. Of course she asked me what a Sooner was and I couldn't remember from my American History class and I looked it up just moments ago! It's a small world after all!!!!

I would definatly say ESPN Club, but if it is on ABC, you might be able to get it in your room!

So you don't get your hopes up, Boardwalk has an ESPN Club, not an ESPN Zone. The ESPN Club is basically a sports bar and grill. Lots of tables, bars, and TV's everywhere.

It does not have all the interactive video games that are found in a ESPN Zone. Just don't want you to expect something its not.

Other than the obvious ESPN club, the only other place I can think of is to see if maybe Bongo's or Capt Jack's has a bar with televisions. That way, the kids can go to Disneyquest, see a movie or shop. Otherwise ESPN is probably it. I'll bethere the same weekend and might wind up there.

As much as I like your idea, the element of surprise would be gone, b/c I would already know the outcome, due to reading the newspaper, watching ESPN or seeing the coaches or AP poll. :brick:

I wouldn't last a week in WDW and not know who won the game, then I wouldn't feel compelled to watch the game.

Besides, I don't have Tivo (yet).

I imagine that we will be heading to the Boardwalk to the ESPN Club, if I can talk my wife into it. However, if something happens and I can't watch, I wouldn't be too upset, b/c I will be in WDW. :sohappy: :sohappy:

That is 1 of the few reasons that I would miss my alma mater play football.
Thanks everyone.

37 days until we are at WDW :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Where does Rainforest Cafe have TV's?

I was actually thinking about that. I assumed the bar area, b/c I have never sat in the bar area or anywhere close. I was thinking about a bar in Pleasure Island, so the family could go to DTD during the game. But I haven't seen any ideas or places to go in PI.

Like I said, I will probably be going to the ESPN club on the Boardwalk.
