If the show starts at 9?

I am seeing fantasmic! at 7, then catchin a ferry over to the boardwalk, and either walking ro boating to epcot.
If you are going to do Fantasmic! You are going to be cutting it real close to even make Illuminations. If you can you will want to get to Fantasmic! as early as possible so you can get a seat close to an exit. The last time we did Fantasmic! It took us just shy of 45 minuets to get to Hollywood blvd after the show.

Personally, I think the best place is at the front of the World Showcase Lagoon (Facing America and in between the two gift shops).

Although it can be crowded, it is really an amazing place to see the show. The Globe comes TOWARD you. It feels like the show is facing you.

If you stand at America, the Globe is going away from you.
This is an amazing spot and where the show was actually meant to be seen, but you have to get there at least an hour before the show, even on the least busiest of nights.

I will second the patio near Cafe de San Angel in Mexico (for the refreshments). Clearly, you will see by the suggestions given here so far, that you should plan on being outside. Even window seats at Rose and Crown, Chef's de France etc. give an obstructed view.

IMHO there is no way to see any of the fireworks (MK included) properly from inside.

For us, the Mexico "area" always seems the best. Plus, you can exit easily by using the path that goes past Oddessy.

I tried Germany a few times and just didn't have much luck. First, the boat dock lights do not go out which is rather distracting. Then, out of 3 seperate visits last fall, the speaker (which seemed to be on or near the dock) was blown. It did nothing but buzz and rattle through the show. Hopefully they have fixed that by now. :)

I still tend to have the most luck finding space over near Mexico and Norway and it seems easier to get out afterward.
