Where to take a first timer on arrival day!

So, you know I have to plan every detail and it all has to be perfect... so, where do you take a Disney "virgin" on arrival day? The choices are either MK or Epcot. Our last two trips we've always hit Epcot the first night but I just want to give my friend the best "first experience"! We won't get to the park until supper time (it's a long travel day for us) but we still have to see a park our first night!

I was thinking Epcot, supper at Sunshine Seasons, walk around/take it easy, and finish the night with Illuminations! What do you all think?

Epcot All the Way  Seeing SSE is very impressive the first time you see it. You can hit a couple of rides in FW and then relax and stroll through WS have a drink much needed after a long day of travel and watch Illuninations. Its a great start to your vacation.:) You could relax and just take in the scenery.

I love the MK but to me, its a more hectic. Its a park you would want to be at all day and do all the rides. Its beauitful to see the Castle in the morning and then see it transform at night :D

Epcot is a great starter park. We hit it our first day every year.:sohappy:

The first day with kids, I would go to Epcot, having dinner at the Garden Grille. Once they see the Magic Kingdom, you won't get them to go anywhere else.
